The features looked more or less the same, except the Ultima had a digital display panel. Hmm, would that prove to be just another thing to go wrong? I liked the look of the Ultima as it was an unusual and fetching grey colour - "graphite" to be precise! That should hide the chocolate-spread fingerprints ...

I paid £299.95 as it was reduced from £399.95 and got this 7Kg drum 1400 spin washer boasting a 30 minute fast wash. On the whole a very easy to use machine, especially regarding program selection, and it also comes with a clear digital display. The machine remembers your last wash setting, so it is easy to start the next one. It gives a beep when the cycle has finished, although it does not switch off (i.e. the display panel is still on). ...gives you a lot dryer clothes than other machines. It has a large 8 kg wash capacity which is great for family wash! But at the same time the half load facility enables you to reduce wash load and washing time - fantastic if you live on your own! Overall this washing machine has worked well since purchasing it 4 months ago. I paid £399 which i didnt think was bad at all. Easy front loading energy efficiency good. Plenty of room to wash a big load, very useful for me as i have children and the washing machine seems to always be on! Not a noisy machine like my old one!. Bought this model a few years back when old machine broke and needed a quick cheap replacement. Not been very impressed - it can be described as 'ok'. It's not got a huge capacity but is manageable (5kg) but the spin cycle is pretty poor so clothes do have to be respun if you stand a chance of drying them indoors. Clothes wash ok but do tend to crease a fair bit. Ours also broke and stopped doing any hot washes within a year - struggled to get ...
...it. Apparently these machine stend to have same reoccuring fault so they don't like to take the blame. Carried on using it just with cold wash for quite a long time and mostly the clothes were clean, no powder residue and most stains came out. Machine hasn't become blocked with fluff over the 4 years we've had it or stopped working completely so those are bonus points.
