I've been playing Aulos recorders for years, and now own Sopranino (207), Descant (205A), Treble (309A) and keyless Tenor (311N), as well as a Fife (C-21). All of the instruments are easy and forgiving to play, have near faultless intonation and sound about as good as a plastic instrument ever will. The only thing I would say is that once the player has become more competent a new mouth piece may need to be purchased to provide a better tone. In my oppinion they are much more player friendly, and as you have so many other things to be thinking about while playing you do not want to have to overcome parts of the clarinet which are difficult to use.
