Advantages: Good prices Disadvantages: Awful service, weak products which will break
I suppose my name pretty much sums it up. The numerous times I have been to novatech, I have experienced extremely poor service from those who work there. Products are never in stock. I bought a laptop from them the first time, it has lasted me a year and a month (conveniently a month over the warranty), because the GPU is fried. This is because it is poorly built product, where the fan is stupidly located right near the powerlead, and too close ... ...apalling when I turned to them for advice or help, and lacking in sufficient knowledge. I had also brought a hardrive, which fails to work and crashes every time I try to use it. Overall, I am not just one rambling critic, a lot of my friends have bought from them also and suffered problems with their equipment. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Poor customer service and apparent stocking issues.
I ordered some computer components from Novatech . One of the items wasn't in stock, but I thought it wouldn't take that long.. Boy was I wrong! Two months, and several calls (from me!) later, and I was still at the starting line. On three of the occasions I phoned them, I was told bluntly that the item was 'due in tomorrow'.. tomorrow never came.. Luckily they don't take your money till they ship the order (or more precisely, looking at their T&Cs, ... ...didn't have the hassle of trying to get my money back. What was most annoying was the total lack of communication from them, and the couldn't-care-less attitude of the staff when I phoned. They may as well have just said 'tough luck', since that's how it came across. The only contact I had from them, that wasn't in response to a query from me, was over two months after I had made the order. I was phoned by a disinterested-sounding female who informed ...

XFX ATI RADEON HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 TV-OUT/DUAL DVI/HDMI (PCI-EXPRESS) - RETAIL
It didn’t have a HDMI outlet (not very good when I needed it to connect to a hdmi TV) - Ok partly my fault for not fully researching the part, their was also a long delay before I got to use it (this was in NO WAY Novatech's fault (check out my first review if you have a spare hour)) Having spoken ... ...they where reluctant to exchange it because of the time span, however they offered and are sending me an adaptor FOC – (For the techy they say it will work with sound – well see!)
Anyway “Fantastic!”
Inevitably things always go wrong, it’s what happens when they do, that matters.
If it works I'll be very happy.
Advise is cheap! You can take it or leave it! ...

I have mixed feeling when it comes to Novatech, mainly because every time I shop with them and there is a problem, how they deal with it varies. Probably the first experience I have of Novatech's returns was when I bought my complete system from them the first time, that is, a tower with components, and a keyboard set, with a monitor I purchased seperately from them. When I first got it, only two days after a problem developed, the motherboard was ... ...it down to a faulty CPU, and returned it without bothering to fiddle with measuring the temps myself. Their engineers assured me that the turn around time would be very short, and in fairness it was indeed. They replaced the motherboard and said it had a faulty thermometer in it. So that night I set it all up again and had a play with it. No DVD drive was being reported in dev manager or in windows explorer. Oh-oh. Ripping open the side of the case ...

Novatech are a smooth, excellent operation. Their slick website offers quality PC components at affordable prices.
Recently my desktop PC suffered a power supply failure. After determining that the faulty unit had a 400W capacity, I decided to shop for one of that capacity or better. Trying Novatech (from whom I'd bought before), in a couple of clicks I was able to locate the power supply options and easily shop for the most suitable alternative ... ...Day Delivery option for £5.99 and soon after checking out, received an email containing the tracking link for the courier (Parcelforce) as well as the time from which this link would be valid.
True to their word my replacement power supply, as ordered and sturdily packaged, arrived less than 24 hours after I'd placed the order. Within 15 minutes I was up & running again.
All in all this is a knowledgeable outfit providing a smart efficient service. ...
