On the whole the online experience is very enjoyable with Ocado.
I had a technical glitch submitting the order form a few weeks ago – I called the customer helpdesk for advice and the operator couldn’t have been more efficient and polite if he tried. ... Read review
Advantages: On time, segregated shopping, no substitutions Disadvantages: Can be a little expensive
As a non-driver living in a city centre, I am somewhat compromised in terms of where I can go to do a 'big shop'. The limited stock in Express and Local branches of supermarkets, coupled with the tiny checkouts means that contemplating buying more than 2 days groceries is likely to force me in the direction of Pizza Hut.
Cue the online supermarket experience. I have tried them all - Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's - you name it, I've had one of their wagons ... ...when I was expecting them to...). But I'm not here to critique them all, but merely to extol the virtues of Ocado. Where can I start? Firstly, their website is very easy to follow and there is always ample choice of delivery days and times. One of the most fantastic things about Ocado is that you know before you order, if the product you want is out of stock. There is nothing worse than ordering a chicken to either find it has been substituted by ...

Advantages: They colour code their bags making it easier to sort and put away (eg Fridge,Cupboard & Freezer) Disadvantages: They do not have a Policy of seperating Raw meat from other Fridge items and wont change this
Although the Delivery experience of Ocado is great, timely and without too many issues I was shocked to find in my opinion that they have no health and safety understanding when it comes to packing raw meat in the bags. On two occasions we have had raw duck and chicken leaking in the ocado bag which for some reason the same plastic bag contained other fridge items such as strawberries and grapes. When I checked with them direct on their policy they ... ...whether meat is raw or cooked. My arguement with them is that as an online customer we do not have a choice on packing the raw meat seperate and given a choice (say for example at checkout) we would not pack raw chicken, beef, duck with other fridge items suck as grapes, strawberries and veg. I would hope others in the food industry would find this practice subject to review but unfortunately the FSA find it acceptable? I am currently persuing other ...

Advantages: I like Waitrose products Disadvantages: poor timekeeping.
The company has markedly declined in the past year. Drivers come late consistently, often damaging groceries b/c they grab 7-8 bags together to avoid making more than one or two trips. One driver came 2 hours early (I was in a business meeting 10 miles away) and bullied my neighbors into letting him into our shared foyer -- and suggested leaving groceries. *It was Friday night, he wanted to finish work and go out. There was meat and ice cream in ...
Advantages: A much nicer experience than competitors Disadvantages: It is a bit more pricy
I find online shopping for food very convenient and a bit of an affordable treat, I don't use ocado very often as I am more of a Tesco/Lidl gal, however after my most recent experience I would be very tempted to use them more often, specifically in comparison to tesco delivery which I use more frequently. Ocado is an online food and grocery delivery service that deals in Waitrose food. They have a delivery centre rather than a shop from which goods ... ...of not ordering following them sending me a £15 off voucher. You need to register with www.ocado.com to order, though you can browse the site and check whether they deliver to your area. ==Making an order==
Delivery slots are one hourly and in my area from 6am - 11:30 pm. Prices on delivery slots ranged from £5.49 to a very reasonable 0.99p for a 9:30 to 10:30 slot. There was plenty of availability and you can also choose a green van, which means ...

Advantages: Great quality and good service all round Disadvantages: Delivery time
Ocado.com
It took me some time to try to use Ocado service although I got so many ads for it, because, I admit, it is more expensive than all the other home shopping service providers like Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's. However, I made an account in Ocado and I received a very good offer through my email which encouraged me to try the service; in addition to the fact that we all need to pamper ourselves. I got £10 off my £60 bill as an offer, which ... ...my voucher before it expires. Only when I tried it another time, I decided to share my experience with you.
As is the case with many similar home shopping websites, you have to check if Ocado delivers to your area before you can register. After checking your postcode, you can easily register by providing your email, address, etc., and choosing a password. To log in, you use your email address and the password you chose, which is easier and more ...
