My getting of this product was for one major reason, and that was for expansion of my memory storage capacity in my system. Normally my 20gb hard drive is now packed with stored information and before I bought this, I was forced to compress information if it would be possible but since it was not possible, I went for this and from what I am seeing, this will be able to store as much information as possible.

The freecom storage device comes in a black shinny portable rectangle shape.

This has served me well for quite some time so I am happy with it. Well my previous 20gb hard drive device has tried for me but for the fact that I am the type that fill my storage device with pictures being capable of consuming more space than ordinary documents I needed a more storage hard drive device capacity.

Well I had a lot of good impressions about the storage device when I bought it because for such a small portable device to have such a large storage space was good. And while using it, you find it very comfortable. Not only that, the units comes with a metal and need to be handled with care since it is movable.

Using the freecom storage device does not pose any problem, whereas needs no drivers' jut put on and off here you go. It recognized by modern operating system just like the flash or any removable device and accessed in the usual way through my computer and file manager explorer.

While the file is open, you are to operate similarly like any other hard drive disk like the savings and opening.

You are to take some safety measures with the device like preventing it from overheating and to prevent it from doing so; you are not to use it for a prolonged period of time. Another safety measure is making sure you eject the drive by clicking the safely remove hardware program and this ensures that the computer does not recognize the hard drive again. The essence of these measures is to avoid losing of any data.

I hope from this review, you are now beginning to learn on how to use the storage device. Well I will say that using the freecom product has delighted me so much because this is my first time of using a freecom product.

In terms of USB connections it has two wires included in the package while one is for data transfer and one is power-to-power unit.

This is the aspect where you find the storage device a bit complicated for you to activate the USB hub; you are to plug in both cables in order to get a positive result.

There are other complications with the USB stuff like the type of USB that a computer system has. Some old systems has USB1 while most modern computers has USB2 which is faster in response. You are also advised to check the USB speed with the freecom drive.

There is some way in which you can know on whether the system has USB 2 and the way is through the windows control panel.

So this is the only part that you might get a bit troubled as a new user but should not be a dilemma to you.

In terms of selling places, I bought mine at Amazon .uk at a good value for money. In terms of price, I bought mine at the price of £49.86, and that is of good value for money.
