Advantages: Do your bit for charity. A reasonable number of paid surveys, and well paid at that. Disadvantages: Can be slow to pay out. Most surveys arn't paid. Need to have Paypal account

I'm signed up to quite a number of online Survey sites, Opinion World being one of them, and despite the fairly poor reviews it's got, I actually feel it's one of the better sites. I suppose it's the credit crunch, but since late last year, I've found that survey sites have been going really down hill. Even the better ones, like Valued Opinions and Global Test Market seem to have fewer and fewer surveys, although unlike some sites, those they do have still pay well, although I have found the top paying surveys are rarer, and whilst not longer, usually harder to qualify for. Opinion World though has actually improved. Whilst the numbers of surveys overall does seem to have fallen, far more of those offered are paid. Also, I've yet to have one that pays less than £1, and there is still the charity donation and prize draw.
Opinion World works like most online Survey sites. You sign up, and fill in various profile questions, then you recieve invites to complete surveys. These are on a wide range of topics. The difference between most sites and Opinion World is that most surveys on Opinion World are unpaid. The "reward" is that you can select to donate to a charity. There are three charities going at one time, and you will be told the target (usually £1000 to £2500) and the percentage of the target reached. Charities include Children's, Medical, Animals and various others. You also get to play an "Instant Win" game, based on a scratch card, where the prize is enteries to a prize draw. I've had thousands of enteries (you can get up to 100 for each "game") and not won anything. I presume the prizes are quite large though. Personally I always prefer smaller prizes with a good chance of wining, to large ones with little chance.
Paid Surveys are also offered. As I said above, these are getting more frequent. They are still quite rare, but I'd say on average my earnings are up with the best of the other sites I'm signed up with, and far better than some, even if it's only a couple of pounds a month. My sucess rate with surveys seems good too, unlike some sites where I forever seem to be wasting time answering questions only to be screened out. Today I did a survey for £1, which took the best part of 10mins. Many real jobs don't pay £1 for 10mins work. Even with paid surveys, you still get a charity donation and prize draw enteries too.
Payment is direct to a paypal account. It can be pretty slow, but is comparable to other sites, infact I'd say on average, the money is in my paypal account (and spendable) faster after doing the survey than money can be in my bank account for many other sites. Like many sites, the problem is that they only give out money once the survey is closed, so their is no guarentee when you will get it. That said, all the sites that use money tend to be like this. Those that use points tend to give them instantly (but not always) yet are usually much slower converting those points to real money. A good example is Global Test Market, where points are instantly credited, yet it can take well over a month to get a cheque, and that's only once 1000points have built up.
Another nice thing with the site and the surveys is that they are pretty fast and reliable. When it comes to surveys, quality and ease of use is down to the companies who produce the surveys, but the actual sites hosting them much hold some responsiblity, and IMHO many could do more to weed out the poor performers. Opinion World seems to do well in this respect. This does effect the overall value and how worthwhile the surveys are, as you can finish surveys faster, and you waste less time (and money) with unreliable surveys. I'm not saying I've never had problems, but they do seem better that some other sites. One real annoyance with some sites that I've not yet found here is the need to have Internet Explorer for surveys. After each sucessful survey, you can fill in a little extra questionare about the survey itself, so you get the chance to give feedback on good and bad points of the survey. Perhaps Opinion World actually listens to these.
Overall, I have to say it's not going to get you rich, or even make a significant impact on your income, but then the same applies for the rest of the sites. My main point is it's no worse, and unlike others, it's actually improving. If you feel like it, just do the paid surveys and avoid the unpaid ones. You still get to make charity donations anyway. I actually do this myself, although I'll fill in unpaid surveys if I have time, not that I usually do. Especially those disapointed with the likes of Ciao Suveys should find Opinion World to be a vast improvement.
Advantages: Technically good, donations to charity Disadvantages: Paid surveys are rare
Opinionworld.co.uk is yet another online survey/market research site.
What makes this one stand out from the rest?
Well, firstly, paid surveys are RARE, at least for the time being. According to a message I read on their site a while ago, they hope to add more paid surveys soon but for the moment, payments are restricted to surveys which are especially long or require more input than most (I've never seen a survey longer than 25 minutes, most are ... ...** The website **
Opinionworld.co.uk looks great, much better than some of the other survey websites around. The site looks like it was designed by professionals, rather than children and for the most part, it works.
What doesn't work well, in my opinion (no pun intended) is the fact that the My Account and My Surveys section both show you a list of surveys but you can't access them from these lists. For example, My Account shows you all currently ...

Advantages: Donations to Charities Disadvantages: They never pay you for the payable surveys.
Opinionworld.co.uk was one of the first survey sites I joined. I am glad I have joined others because if this was the only company I used I would never bother doing any surveys.
They are based in Rotterdam and are part of Survey Sampling International and currently have over 1 million members. It is very easy to apply, just fill in the application form. They then send you your code number/account number and password number. Unfortunately you can ... ...down as they are not easy to remember. They email the surveys through to you I get around 10 per month. There are not many surveys that pay, 99% seem to be for prize draws. I have received 3 paying surveys since I joined in April 2007, although I have never received any payment for these surveys. So they actually owe me £11.00. Two surveys worth £3.00 each and a product test with a payment of £5.00. Paying surveys are supposed to ask for your paypal ...

Like many people this is one of the first survey companies I signed up to and what a terrible site it was. How do you know how much is going to charity they never say, was not worth all the time and effort and soon unsubscribed and signed up for lots more that paid what they said.Still kept getting surveys to fill in almost 2 months after unsubribing and this was annoying there are plenty more sites out there which you can donate to chairity from if you do not want the reward yourself. Try Valued Opinions ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Once you start you'll feel obligated to continue because you're doing your bit
I have been meaning to do some Googling on these for a while ever since I completed a product test and awaited my £10 for doing so. Waiting for 6 weeks and still nothing I emailed a very pleasant request just incase I had been missed off the list. Two weeks go by and nothing, so another email, more a complaint and still nothing. This outfit is just a money making scam IMHO. I must have completed 75/100 surveys and dutifully clicked on my chosen charity, ... ...now I don't look at the figures so blindly. £480,000 given to charity ( they say ! ) but even if true works out @ 48p per member/year. On the numbers of surveys I was getting ( average of 1/day ) well you do the maths and it's a scam. I shall be emailing the company that I did the test for if only to make them aware. I know the company as they are the only ones who make those particular little minty sweets and who have just released a new flavour, ...

Quick review of opinionworld.co.uk
Like others who have provided a review of this "Company", I signed up long ago to help the charities. I have taken part in two paid-for ssurveys and received exactly nothing !!! I have sent many emails to them but have still yet to receive a reply.. DO NOT touch this company with a barge pole. I seriously doubt that they give any money to charity and as soon as I can find out how to report them to the survey police, that is what I will be doing too. ...
