Advantages: Size and style Disadvantages: Handheld Calendar and Contacts search facility does not work correctly - Palm know about this!
...The handheld Contacts search facility will show only 1 page of results i.e. 8 items and keeps repeating the same ones when asked to 'Find More'. The desktop search facility shows the whole lot. In my case the desktop came up with 118 instances of my keyword search, the handheld found ony the 1st 8 in alphabetical order!
Additionally the handheld Calendar search function does not work properly. The search results do not show the date the event was entered in the Calendar. Palm Support, Ireland told me it was a known bug, Palm Europe described it as 'an intentional change'
------------
So now you know. Don't buy this database product if you ever want to find anything you entered into it !...

Advantages: Metallic & stylish, loads of feauters Disadvantages: Software compatibility, slow transfer rates
...I did not go and buy the PalmOneTungstenE specifiaclly for it's feauters, nor was I after a palm device at all. I was after a GPS for my car. It so happened that PCWorld had a bundle offer where you got the GPS software, receiver and the tungsten device for a mere £200 (that was in July 2004). As a GPS it works fine. Plug in the receiver, attach it to your dashboard and choose your destination and off it goes. There are too many wires though, i wish I bought the bluetooth version instead. The wire sometimes comes in the way of the stereo or gear stick (not clever)
But then this review is about the actual tungsten device. At about 150g or so it is very light and fits neatly into your pocker. Upon turning the device on you have to fill in your name, the date, time, timezone etc. After that you are greeted with a welcome screen...

I treated myself to this snazzy futuristic hand held Dyson vacuum cleaner last week. Like all new Dyson’s it looks rather odd as instead of the sleek design of most hand held machines it looks rather more like a big bulky drill. I’ve been curious about... more
I purchased this item recently and have been completely happy with it.
It is very simple to use, the water tank comes away from the main body very easily and is easy to fill. It takes only a few seconds for the pressure to build and the steam that... more
