Pay Pal is one of the easiest and safest way to transact your online purchases and expenditure.
At present there are over 9 million Pay Pal users worldwide (in 36 countries) and the number is increasing rapidly.
The company is American based and are completely open to International members.
The major reasons why this has been such a success is the Security.
Providing your Credit Card number on the Internet has always been very scary to me. What with the stories I’ve heard about peoples accounts being over charged and being charged for things you never really purchased. In this day and age retrieving someone’s credit card
details, for fraudulent use, has never been easier. Everyday crooks are finding ways to beat the security systems. In may case I have only used my Credit card twice on the Internet and for those two transactions I made sure that I checked out the security policy and system, that the sites in question were using. Many a time I wanted to make a purchase or to play a bit of Blackjack but would always shy away from the idea due to this stumbling block.
However with the introduction of Pay Pal things seem to have changed. This company is specialized in handling monetary transactions and thus the main priority and objectives of the company has to be its Security. It is also something they strive to maintain to the utmost peak, for there very survival and as they are undoubtedly always targets of some unscrupulous lowlifes.
They are using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or login to there site, the server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches them, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Their servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.
So how does this work? First of all you need to visit the Pay Pal site at www.paypal.com and register with them. You will need to enter in your credit card number, name and address of your bank and other relevant details.
Once that is done you are ready to start receiving or sending money.
If you are ready to purchase something, or send money to someone, you can add money into your Pay Pal account by selecting that option on the site. You can add money either by debiting your credit card or by sending them a cheque. For us here the first option is the feasible one.
Receiving funds is very easy. You first log onto the Pay Pal site, then enter the persons e-mail address and the amount you are requesting or intend receiving. The recipient will receive an e-mail which will give them the details of paying into your Pay Pal account.
Purchasing something or sending money to someone is just as simple. Just enter the recipient’s email address and the amount you wish to send. The recipient gets an email that says "You’ve Got Cash!" Recipients can then collect their money by clicking a link in the email that takes them to www.paypal.com.Even if they don’t have an account you can still send the payment. They can then open an account with Pay Pal and the amount will be credited instantly.
One of the major conveniences is purchasing things on the Internet (as I mentioned earlier). Most sites now accept Pay Pal as a method of being paid. This number is also growing. They can receive the payment immediately so they are happy. You can send your payment with an “ease of mind” so your happy.
One of the sites where Pay Pal is very prominent is Ebay. So if you’re an Ebay user then Pay Pal is a must for you.
There are many aspects of Pay Pal that I could not possibly cover in this opinion. You would need to visit the site and find out for yourselves. The “Help” option is very useful and will cover almost all of your questions aswell as important matters such as charges and usage by International Members.
Overall this is a very useful monetary option to have in this day and age. I recommend anyone, who does not already have a Pay Pal account, to visit the site and open one, as it surely will be of great use and benefit to you.
