PC Option - www.pcoption.co.uk
As a student doing a multimedia course i need a pc with fairly good specs and decided to buy a custom build.
I read through these forums when searching for the "right" place. I looked at all of the companies big/small on the web and set myself a budget of around £600-£700 for the base unit.
I finally decided to go ahead with PCoption. The prices are very very good, much better than evesham, mesh, scan etc. I ordered a base unit with the following specs...
Gamers Base Unit. Nvidia 8800. Intel® Core® 2 Duo. (6750 (2.66GHz 4MB, 1333FSB) , Standard Case , Samsung 18 X DVD Dual Layer Writer , 1 X Asus Nvidia EN8800GTS/HTDP/320M Graphics , 320GB Sata 2 Hard Drive , 2048 DDR 2 800 MHz , No Operating System Installed , No PSU Upgrade ( Standard 700 Watt. Unless You Have Upgraded Your Case) , P5K Motherboard Upgrade )
This came to £604 including shipping and tax. The wait was just about 3 weeks. It says about 2 weeks on the website, but they had to wait to recieve the graphics card shipment (fair enough). This was a small blip in what i consider a very good service. One other minor fault. The case they gave me was different from the picture on the web (silver instead of black) but this turned out to be great for me as it is far nicer!!
Now, the main review, the base unit... Its simply amazing, great performance, runs smoothly and have no problems to date. I also have the reassurance of a 5 year warranty (3 full, 2 yrs labour). OK, they don't have the best customer service, but how many companies can you name who actually do!? All in all they are polite provide a very good professional service for a great competivite price. Would recommend!
