For your information, I decided to select a cheaper MOBO being the Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS, rather than the Asus Striker Extreme and then upgrade the graphics card to the 8800GTX 768MB Ultra. The reason I have done this is that following considerable research and reviews on the net, the Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS is basically a stripped down Asus Striker Extreme with almost identical performance. However the 8800GTX 768MB Ultra provides a gain in performance in all applications including games of around 10% which for me at least is a significant performance gain. Therefore if the reviews I have read are accurate, I have increased the performance of my system by at least 10% for no extra cost, in fact for a saving of £14. The Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS is also a great board for the over-clockers amongst you, although I wont be overclocking.

So my order is as follows

PROCESSOR - (Q6600 (2.4GHz, 4X2MB, 1066FSB)
CASE - Antec 900 Blue 700 Watt
GRAPHICS CARD - 1 X EN8800GTX ULTRA768MB
HARD DRIVES - 2 X 500GB Sata 2 Hard Drives - RAID
RAM_- 4096 DDR 2 800 MHz
OS - Vista Premium & Disc
DVD DRIVES - 2 X LG Lightscribe 20 X DVDRW DL
MOBO - Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS DDR800
CARD READER - 52 in 1 Card Reader
SOUND CARD - Creative X-FI Xtreme Audio 7.1

TOTAL COST £1,232.54 INC VAT & DELIVERY

For the record the order was made at 0800 hrs today Thursday 15th November. I recieved an email confirmation of my order almost immediately.

The interface on the PC Option website is clear and user-friendly, I was able to navigate to and select my system configuration with ease. You can change or remove options too, should you select the wrong component in error. Like me you may not want a complete system with monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. So you can choose the base unit option, which is a nice touch I think. For the non-gamers amongst you there are also options non-gaming PC Systems available, again a nice touch. I proceeded to the checkout which again had a user-friendly and clear interface, ordering my system was a breeze. I printed out a copy of my order and then checked my email inbox where I had received an order confirmation. If I were to give marks out of 10 for the website, system configuration and the ordering process I'd have to give 10/10, I can't fault it.
