I hate their shop and their site 15 of 16 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages None

Disadvantages Plenty

PC world is one of the worst places I have ever been to - considering the store is called PC world you would expect a good selection of EVERYTHING to do with computers, but you'd be wrong.

The store I've visited was frequently understocked, but did have an endless supply of incompetent staff, who hadn't even heard of the latest technology, let alone have the ability to advise you on it. When I asked if they sold a certain item all I got from the assistant was a blank gaze and an "uhh?" sound, and the computer I bought from their sister store Dixons crashed frequently.

What it boils down to is corporate big business not caring less about the small guy, in this case their customer base, i.e US. I've bought faulty items there that they refused to replace (they always have some excuse not to pay you out), some items have had parts missing from the box and their customer service is a joke. Yet why should they care? They're already established and worth millions, and part of a healthy chain of stores, so does it really bother them that their customers are dissatisfied? In a word - NO.

I also feel that they do not offer sufficient value for money or an adequate range of products, as I said earlier, a company that calls itself "pc world" should have everything associated with pc's stocked within, yet when I went to purchase a cd re-writer, a common piece of equipment these days, I found that they stocked loads of internal ones, but only 2 external - guess which one I wanted? yep the external one, unfortunetly both were out of my price range.

I hate going there and I won't go back there now if hell froze over.

In comparison, their website is a little better, since there are no staff to annoy you, or pressure you into buying insurance and warranties that you just don't want, but their prices are high and their goods prone to breakage and faults.

I definetly wouldn't buy from them, I don't trust them to deliver on time... or at all in one piece, and I don't like their refund policy either.

**Please note**

I have stated satisfacory below for some of the categories because there wasn't a "not applicable" choice.
