I love get something for nothing so when I saw a flyer for a free goodie bag for my dog at my local pet shop, I picked it up. The flyer was advertising an online pet website called WWW.PETSATHOME.COM.

All you had to do was go online, register for free and answer four very easy pet questions ( when I say easy, I mean easy!! An example is “ how many legs does a spider have?”). So I did this, and about ten days later I got a pencil case (!) and a few variety of dog treats, plus a pencil and rubber.

The site have never contacted me to try and sell me anything, so I thought I would go and have a browse round their site. Well, the site is not just about selling you pet things. It has a large section on pet care, and not only focuses on cats and dogs, but also on birds, fish and small animals as well. It has a section on being a new pet owner and also veterinarian advice too.

It has a search engine to help you find animal themed days out anywhere in UK. For example, you can search for zoos, kennels and catterys or bird sanctuaries anywhere in UK and it will then link you to their website so you can get all the necessary info on opening times and costs etc.

It also has a little quirky bit where you can try and find a love for your pet!!! So if you have a bitch that you want to breed from, it can help you find a suitable dog in your area.

As well as all of this, it does, of course, have a shop. You can buy most pet items online, from food, to leads to toys. The prices are reasonable and they do have special deals on each week, that offer a good discount. You can also buy animal related books and CDs. They are also a REAL STORE and will locate the nearest store to your house. Mine was less than six miles away.

All in all, a good little site. But I think its worth looking at to get the free goodie bag. My dog loved it!
