I came across this site whilst looking for Freeads. A search engine recommended this as a place to buy & sell second hand stuff. I registered (which took a matter of seconds) and placed two ads on the site. It was so easy and effective that I must write an opinion on it!
The fact that the most recent ads were given priority listing I found to be of enormous benefit. If you are a buyer, you automatically know which goods are more likely not to have been sold (those closer to the top). As a seller you benefit from prime selling space. You can delete the ad if you find you have moved down too far and re-submit (for prime selling position!).
The site also secures your details - you can decide what people see (and they only see your e-mail address once they have e-mailed you). You can chose whether people see your name, telephone, address etc. It also asks you what area you live in so potential buyers can decide whether they want to buy from you location-wise.
I received several offers for both the mobile phone and computer monitor I advertised (location being important for the monitor!) - both were sold in the matter of a few days. I would thoroughly recommend this method of selling unwanted goods - it proved more effective than Freeads. You can also pay a fixed amount over a year (I think it is about £20) to get all your ads highlighted - but unless you have loads to sell it's not really worth it. It is also worth a look if you are looking to buy anything - from cars and holidays to pets.
Most importantly, however the service is entirely FREE and you do not get pestered with junk e-mails. The only e-mails I received were those informing me that my ads had been submitted (they are submitted immediately), allowing me to make changes/delete. Excellent site!
