Preschool Education.com is a site that is choc-a-bloc with information and support for parents and educators. The site is well designed, and easy to navigate. There are all sorts of places to go - book reviews, teachers lounge, various activities and themes, too many to mention. You can sign up for their newsletter if you want to be kept updated, and there is an Ask The Preschool Teacher section for those questions you might need answers for. Looking for a particular topic? There are plenty of headings to choose from, Music, Science, Maths, even Recipes. This is an American site, so is geared to their holidays and traditions, but as with all sites - use what you want and ignore the rest! There is a mine of useful information here, and it's an enjoyable experience wading through it all.
Preschool Education.com also accepts articles from those of us who write passionately about Early Childhood Education, although these are not paid for as they are on Ciao. Having said that, if you want to be respected as a writer on this subject, then this would be an excellent site to submit to, insomuch as credibility goes. You can e-mail them if you want to submit and be paid, for those who want cash as well as the credit, but I haven't done that yet so can't give any information. They also welcome book and toy reviews. All in all, it's a very extensive site, with lots of information about all aspects of preschool education. If you have under-5's, give it a onceover at least. I think you'll find something to make you bookmark the page and return again! Their address is:
