This is quite a good shopping channel, they sell a variety of things these include clothing, cutlery, crockery, bedding, ornaments, toys, CD's, games and loads more.
I have bought a coat for £15, a set of 6 mugs for £10 and a digital camera for £50 from Price Drop and they have all be of good quality. The coat was a winter coat with fur around the collar and cuffs, you know the type I mean, it was thick and warm, exactly as described, and I still have it after about a year and a half so it is lasting quite well too. The mugs are wedgewood, so good quality as described, and the camera for the price I paid was great, it has all the modern functions including zoom and video functions and included loads of software and a memory card.
HOW IT WORKS
Basically the presenter starts telling you about a product, eg a coat, and in the corner of the screen it will tell you how many are in stock and how much it is, as the presenter continues to explain the item the price will start to drop (hence Price-drop) and as people start calling in to purchase the item the number they have in stock will drop as well, the price will carry on dropping until they have no more of the item left in stock. Also everyone pays the lowest price, so if you call when an item is priced at say £30 and the price drops to £15 before all the stock is gone then you only pay £15!
To purchase an item you need to call the phone number, which will also be on the screen and the presenter will continuously remind you of the number anyway, when you call you will get through to an automated voice that will tell you what the item is that you are planning to buy, then tell you to press 1 to confirm. You will then be called back within about an hour for them to take you payment details and your address.
Calls cost about £1, but if you register on the Internet you can do all this online without the need to call.
Your items are then delivered to your door within 7 days (normally less than that) and if you are not happy with the item you can return it within 14 days of being delivered and your money will be refunded. I have never had to return anything so I don't know if this would be as simple as it sounds.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
The customer service is good, the people are friendly and helpful, I have not had any bad experiences with Pricedrop.TV, but I have needed to call there customer services for various things like changing my address etc. and they have been happy to help.
The presenters also seem friendly, they have a laugh and a joke to make selling items as entertaining as they can, they are also very accurate when describing things.
BARGAIN?
There are bargains to be had on Pricedrop depending on what you want, theres no big name designers or that sort of thing but for every day shopping or gifts I would say the prices are very reasonable.
They also have 'Mega drops' sometimes; these are where the price of an item goes right down to a pound!
When you are watching you need to bear in mind that on top of the price that you decide to pay, you also have to pay for postage and packing, this is generally £6.95, but again all these details will be on the screen for you to see.
