On this website it states that Pricerunner has been around since 1999, although it was only recently that I decided to try it out after seeing an advert on TV. It was the first price comparison site I'd seen advertised, so I assumed it would be good. Now it's my preffered price comparison site and the one that I use most. The layout of the website makes it very easy to use. The search bar is along the top, below the sites logo and also some popular ... ...Above this search bar there are also links to a user guide, a forum and a new mobile section. Below all this is the full list of categories with some of the products within these categories listed below them. Here, you can browse through anything from electrical equipment to travel products including flights and package holidays. Advantages: fast, comprehensive, good layout, extensive results, usually good filtering. Disadvantages: Sometimes displays the things you don't want!
I've never really been a big on-line shopper, preferring the hustle and bustle of the high street to the anticipation of having something delivered... I don't know, it's just down to personal choice I suppose but I am a firm believer in retail therapy, and always seem to get a buzz out of the fact I can have my goods in my hands, especially if it's clothing or gadgets, even homeware. I'm like a kid at Christmas, I want it now, not in 2 days time. ... ...me to the convenience of online shopping. In many cases, it is cheaper. High street electrical stores in particular, seem to offer better deals on their websites than in-store, and I have found MP3 players and such-like from Comet to be up to 20% cheaper!
So the advantages do rather outweigh the cons of having to wait for delivery in most cases. Why pay more indeed!!!!

This is my favourite of the price finder sites. It is very comprehensive, very fast and provides direct links to the retailers. The interface is easy to use there are lots of categories and you can find the best prices on what you want in a matter of minutes.
When you click on the homepage you are presented with a menu of categories ranging from electrical goods to household appliances to computer equipment. Firstly click on the category you want, ... ...so I would click on photography, the next menu appears, sub category digital cameras, and the further sub menus, all cameras, cameras with at least 2mp, cameras with at least3mp and so on. You select a category, say cameras with at least 2mp and the search engine goes in to action. After about 10 seconds or so you will have a table of every 2mp camera on the market scrolling out in front of you.
You may have a list now of about 200 cameras. A big ...
