How much science is involved with the speech and language therapy course and job itself?
I am in my first year of college and do not know what to take for my second year and what to do at uni. I stumbled across Speech and Language Therapy and thought it sounded interesting. I have been researching but it does not tell me what specific courses I should take. I am studying English Language, English Literature and Spanish I got a B and a C for GCSE Science and am not good at it - so I need to know if this is the course for me! Thanks
I can only answer with regards to Newcastle uni as thats where I'm studying. At newcastle they say you need to have Biology at least at AS level. The 1st year of the course has quite a bit of anatomy and physiology involved + 3rd year has neurology. .However there are lots of modules that are not related to anything sciencey at all. its worth looking at the course at different uni's and seeing what they suggest, they're all different. Good luck
