Are the batteries inside the box when you buy the diary or do you have to buy them?

From my personal experience with these kind of products ( There are 3 girls in my house that love these kind of diaries! ) You actually have to buy the batteries. They arent usually included. But if your unsure always look on the product detail and it should tell you there if it requires batteries and what kind of batteries it takes! I hope this helps :)
