... but I felt I had to write it because although many people have recently written reviews about ciao.co.uk, I felt that they had misrepresented our site! Most of these reviews have pictured it as the “Diablo’s” site, which is untrue. This site has been, and still is, one of the leading review ... Read review
This site depends on shopping experiences that will hopefully lead to a purchase by the reader or in some cases, a warning to others that the product should be avoided. The general public can read the ingredients off the back of the product and decide for themselves. You can update the review, edit and re-write and then re-rate. Also Ciao members usually have a right to rate what they feel - a factor that Guides seem to miss.

Looking at your review it is largely unnecessary information. Try reading a few reviews first and see what is expected on this site, for example the content. I would say everything after (and including) the ingredients list is useful, and deleting everything above the ingredients list would make it a much more manageable read.

I agree, I think that your review was excellent and definitely worth 'very helpful' at least. I'm also a new member to Ciao and think its somewhat ironic of reviewers to rate you poorly for how excellent your review was! However, I digress, if I wanted to buy a tin of beans, my main concern wouldn't be the company's history, although that was a useful addition just for the interest of it.

If this is about the Heinz Baked Beans review, I wouldn't call it a damnation, I would say constructive criticism, In my own opinion people just want to know about the products ups & downs, not the background of it, no offensive action intended at all!
Great Review to be honest just way too much to read. Some people get really put off with reading half a ton of information, I found it interesting though.
