I'm not fully expert of computer. But i know that the working speed of ubuntu is awesome. When i start my computer it boot it very quickly. It has built in firewalls and antivirus programs. The main disadvantage, it has less 3rd party softwares in the market :( and nothing more

(+) once up and running, is unobtrusive, no fuss OS, stable, and more secure and faster (-) some upgrade issues from Windows XP, not in-place upgrade, need to learn new ways to find things
(+) Superb screen, superior speakers, huge capacity, multiplicity of functions, brilliant photo suite (-) A new 'language' to learn and company support not as good as one would expect.
