It appears to be a Men's Eau de Cologne - it is listed as such on eBay (i.e. Men's Cologne), so I believe it is.

Yes Friktion is a men's aftershave that used to be produced by Avon. They are no longer selling it, but you can still buy the odd bottle on eBay if you do a search.
