Does anyone know if I can set it to pick up after only a few rings?

We get so many junk calls that we wait to see who is calling before picking up nowadays, as my friends/family know to talk then wait for me to pick up.
However the default is that it does not pick up for about 20 or more rings, which is disruptive if my hubby is trying to catch upon sleep after a bad night.with his back pains.
I cannot find my user manual.
Anyone know how to do this or where to download a manual for the ACT 300 answerphone/phone?
