iI bought a boyu marine can i use it for freshwater as it has a skimmer do i take it out or leave it in

im not sure what equipment you got with your tank, but you should be able to use it for freshwater fish. You do not need a protein skimmer for freshwater tanks, only marine and coral tanks. If it can be removed, i would take it out. However it won't do any harm as it just removes chemicals and other rubbish from the tank. Given the size of the tank, i should think that the water quality should be easily maintained with regular water changes.
