I ordered a dishwasher from QED. Delivery of the item was quite slow taking 5 working days. When it arrived and I opened it, there was a post-it note stuck to the top of the machine saying "Door catch broken and right hand hinge faulty". This was correct. It was obviously a return that had simply been shipped out again. When I asked for a replacement I was told it would be another 5 days, so I have cancelled my order, although now they insist I have to wait in for the item to be collected before they will pay me my money back. 15 days interest for QED - very unfair. ...

I first used QED (Quality Electrical Direct) to buy a new gas cooker about seven years ago. I had researched the model that I wanted locally and not only was the price prohibitive but local suppliers quoted me a minimum of two weeks before the propane gas fueled cooker could be delivered. I searched on the internet and found QED who sold me the Canon cooker for over £100 cheaper than the previous best price and delivered it to my (very rural) door ...
...had served well for over ten years but nothing lasts for ever. I turned to Ciao to find out what people thought was a decent machine and settled on the HOTPOINT WT960P. I looked at various sites to buy this machine and found that the best price was about £299. Having moved into our new house, we found ourselves cookerless due to the previous owners taking theirs with them. Naturally, we had to buy a new one but in the meantime we used a combi-microwave and a mini cooker-kindly donated by my parents. We ordered our cooker mid-November bearing in mind QED stated the delivery time would be three weeks so therefore, there should be no Christmas dinner worries - or should there?!. Three weeks later, nothing, ...
...a response. Eventually there was and that was only to tell us that we MAY receive it before Christmas! Lo and behold, we didn't! Try cooking a family Christmas dinner with the facilites we had! Nevertheless, we managed and arranged a delivery date for the Friday after New Year.
