Lived in USA for a few years unitl 1998 and used QVC there so continued to use it in UK. Also used there the Home Shopping Network, which isn't a patch on QVC.
I have bought from nearly all of their departments and I have NEVER had a problem with anything at all in what must be 17 years. That says something in this day and age doesn't it? I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COST OF POSTAGE - BUT, THINK ABOUT IT - DRIVING, PARKING AND TAKING IT ... ...USED IT!). It's much more economic to have it delivered to you door.
Ordering is so easy too, if you have an account with them (after your initial order) you can ring their FREE QCut line, which recognizes your telephone number - you don't even have to speak to anyone, unless you wish to do so. By the way ALL of their telephone numbers are FREE - pity other companies don't take note.
AND, where else can you buy a lipstick for example, try it, don't ...

Advantages: Professional, helpful company with a great website and shopping channel Disadvantages: My living in Spain and not being able to order fresh products!
I have been shopping with QVC.UK now for over 5 years. Living in Spain, even near Gibraltar, it is hard to get some tried and trusted cosmetics, household goods, clothes, shoes, gardening items, household linen - the list is endless! but, as long as it is not too heavy, or a fresh product (i.e. fresh plants and bulbs which I only wish I could order!) or foodstuffs, you can get it at QVC.UK and they will send to Spain.
As a "shopping chanel" they ... ...from 02.00hrs to 08.00 hrs, 364 days of the year. I am addicted to their beauty and fashion, and have a lot of their jewellery. Price wise I think they are exceptional. Being able to buy in bulk they also have channels in Germany, US and Japan) means that they obtain great deals direct from suppliers. Products are often offered on one to a maximum of four payments, all interest free, and all you need is a credit card. They also accept cheques.

Advantages: Bringing shopping home Disadvantages: unable to view item except on tv
QVC is a good form of entertainment if you are particulary interested in purchasing a certain item for your home or personal use. Personally I would not use it unless it were an object I had been looking for and was unable to obtain from shopping personally. However, my mother who is disabled and housebound spends hours watching QVC as I think she still feels that she is still ab le to shop personally for gifts from the comfort of her own home yet ... ...than she would if she were able to go out shopping in town. Also they have a very good customer service and will always give a full refund if the customer is disatisfied. All in all I would recommend QVC as being a good way for people who are unable to shop themselves. ...

We had decided this year to go to Marbella on holiday through my father in law's Timeshare weeks. We were told to look on the www.gvc.co.uk website to see what we liked as you can see a 360 degree tour of the appartments and pool areas etc. For the rooms you can even walkthrough from the Lounge to see the Bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. I personally thought this idea is very good as you can see the quality that you are expecting in your appartment ... ...Washing Machine etc and it also has a very detailed description of all the facilities on site and nearby and also the Local Amenaties.
So on Tuesday night we set to book our holiday, we had decided on the resort but weren't bothered by the room being 1 bedroomed or a studio.
However when we came to book the Studio was the only appartment left so we booked. When we looked on the Virtual Tour it has excellent views of the rooms, pool area, tennis ...

I will see something on the screen, having been yet again seduced by the lovely, and now rather lithe, Rob Lowe, and I will go to the computer to place the order. If the computer is switched off for some reason, then it is still really quick to use Q-cut or Q-Cut Pro, their automated ordering systems. This has the dubious advantage that you don’t have to scrabble about in your handbag for the credit card ... ...With your 8-digit membership number and a PIN which is part of your phone number, it is an easy couple of presses of the ‘phone buttons until the object of your current desire is winging its way to you by the courier of the moment.
One little glitch in my affair with QVC was when they changed from White Arrow to another courier who’s name I forget, but whose service was not as good. Subsequent orders have arrived through the post.
