So often the focus of Auctions is the BUYING experience, not the SELLING experience. I got into auctions about 9 months ago, and actually got hooked on SELLING stuff, and have since made a great deal of money.
QXL.com makes it very easy. The guidelines are clear and they have also recently launched their QUICKSELLER tool. This can be downloaded from their site, and is customised software to help you upload items. It allows you to edit many items easily, and the best part is that it is done all OFF LINE. Once you've finished adding your products, you go online and it updates on to QXL.
It is best to get member ratings too.As a buyer or seller, it makes your QXL profile a trustworthy one. It really has become a wonderful trading community. There is also the functionality to ask the seller a question. This is done in a "masked" environment, so that that buyer/seller personaly details are not revealed for privacy reasons. It's great to get clarification on any product up for sale.
See what you have around the house, from DVDs to computers, and put them up for sale and see what you get for it! It is unbelievable fun!
Hi and welcome to Ciao. I have to admit that I've never tried either buying or selling on any of the auction sites but I'll take your word that it's nice and easy - personally I prefer to load up the van and head off for the car boot sale. Paul.
If you are a seller on auction sites - believe me, you will do MUCH BETTER on eBay.co.uk that you've ever done on QXL. Honestly, you could also take a look at Yahoo and Amazon's UK Auction sites, both have much more traffic and more bidders than QXL.
