I have spent a small fortune with Reed over the last 2 years and they are now beyond a joke. They guarantee that you get 10 CV's through or they will give you a days CV search free worth £175. The last 3 jobs that I have put on have had around 30 applicants for each with none of them being suitable even for an interview let alone for the job - all the screening questions are being ticked for the right answer just so the applicant get their CV through
I have contacted Reed to tell them that I am not happy as I would expect at least some of the applicants to be suitable for a least an interview but they telling me categorically that they are not a recruitment agency and have no control who applies for the job.
A great marketing ploy on behalf of Reed to guarantee you the 10 CV's but dot count on them being for what you have advertised for.
I will never use them again.

Interesting to hear an employer's angle, but your review would be more helpful if you explained the context more fully (e.g. what sort of job you were advertising, where else you advertised, why applicants from Reed were unsuitable, etc).
