Advantages It so cheap its crazy I tell you!!!!
Disadvantages I haven't found any big one's yet, but the site can be a little slow.
I am so excited I have just bagged myself an excellent bargain!I joined up to the member’s section on www.ryanair.com and I regularly receive offer via my email.
Well I went to check my email this morning and they had sent me a new offer through. There were various destinations available including Dublin, Genoa, Brussels and several more, all with prices from 1 pound + airport tax. I am usually a little skeptical when it comes to offers, normally by the time I click through to look at it, there all gone, snapped up by the early morning web thieves… who are these people that get all the great offers?I thought I would click and have a look anyway not expecting anything from it. I fancied Dublin for a bit of a break, I had been there with Ryan Air before and both the flight and my time there were fantastic. Low and behold they seemed to have some seats available, so I did the necessary ring round to gather up the troops. With a total of 4 people going I thought I would be very lucky to get them at the offer price, but I did. A return flight to Dublin has cost me the pricey sum of 18 whole pounds! I couldn’t get a train to London for that. All my friends were very pleased, we also managed to get accommodation in a youth hostel for just 12 pounds. So a weekend trip 2 days and 1 night in Dublin for 30 quid.
Offers aside the site it self can be a little slow. It’s nice and simple, very easy to book or to find information. The site colour scheme is the same as the company colours and very easy on the eye. Up to the minute offers usual appear on the first page of the site, however if you join the members club you can get cheaper flight offers. At the minute you can also win 1 of 5 pairs of flights and 2/3 nights accommodation by joining the members section! Its really simple you just click on the link and an email form opens up all you have to do is press send and they register your email address, its that easy. All the company terms and conditions can also be found on the site, which is really useful if your considering flying with them.
Another useful piece of information I have come across is information on PSC.PSC, Passenger Service Charge, has been recently introduced due to the tragic events in the US. Because of the increase in insurance costs for Airlines and new charge has been levied. The Charge will be added to final bill under the Service Charge category. The charge is $1.25 per journey or $2.50 for a return journey.
From the information I received from Ryan Air via email, after I booked my flight. They seem to be protesting about the charge and fighting to get it removed. I don’t know how everyone will feel about this but for an extra couple of pounds, I think I would rather feel safer and have them increase security than moan about it.The great thing about Ryan Air is you don’t need to wait for your tickets you have a reservation number when you book, you print off the confirmation and take that to the checkout along with your Passport. So once you have booked, there's no waiting for things to turn up in the snail mail.
You can also check the site for current job vacancies, which is very useful if you’re a pilot or air stewardess. All in all Ryan Air has really made my day, for 30 pounds I’m off to a beautiful city, it would cost me more than that for a drink in the city center and a rather dodgy kebab!
