hassle free shopping.
Advantages convient, quick, hassle free
Disadvantages lack of choice
The one thing I used to hate every week was trudging off to Sainsbury's on a Sunday, why could I not just have a longer lie in!!!
So after a little time I decided to give their delivery service a try. The web site was very easy to use, allowing me to firstly book the time and date of delivery and to subsequently enter the items that I required.
The detail in which the items can be selected is very good, eg bananna's - I was given the choice of weight or units, then size (s/m/l) and finally I was able to choice the ripeness I wanted. This all seem very good.
Items were laid out in a logical order, if certain items were not where I first though, they were easily located using the quick start list. This allows you to type a food in, and the system lists the isles in which it can be found.
After all the items have been selected, you then proceed to the checkout, entering your payment details & confirming the payment.
A fee of £5 is added for the delivery.
The only disadvantage of this way of shopping is you do not get to pick exactly what you want. You are able to specify size etc, but where as the average shopper would look at a piece of meat and choose the one with the right amount of fat etc, a paid shopper will just pick the next on the shelf.
All in all though, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I would definetly recommend this service.
