Making Life FEEL better!
Advantages Amazing on all levels!!!
Disadvantages None for me! A perfect delivery!
When the online shop arrived, half of the food was missing, but we had been charged for it all, and the delivery was 2 hours late. After trying to get in touch with them, it was a month before I got any kind of refund from them, and even then it wasn't the full amount of the food which was missing!!! We vowed never to do an online shop again, until I joined up to Sainsbury's baby club when I discovered I was pregnant in January, and I got a £10 off first online shop, we were aprehensive, but we decided that this month we would use the £10 off and do the online shop with Sainsbury's...
Everything you put into your basket is in your basket over in the right hand corner and is very easy to delete items from, and keep an eye on how much you are spending!
Navigation is simple, and even when I was doing my first ever shop, it took me just an hour, compared to almost 3 hours with Asda!!!!!Once you have done a shop with the online service, next time you go, everything you bought last time is saved in your "my items" section, where you can go and pick all the things you usually buy simply without having to search for them! This cuts down the time spent on the site even more as it means all the things you normally buy are there waiting to be picked.
You can then enter any E Vouchers you may have (look out online for free E vouchers giving you free delivery and money off!), these will come off at the end of the transaction!
Once this has all been done, you can then enter your bank details to pay for the shopping, this does not come out of your bank until the day of your delivery, so if you have booked your delivery for 3 weeks time, not a penny will come from your account until the day of your delivery, this is incase prices change of you update your order at a later date. I liked this especially as it meant I could put the order in before we were paid this month, and knew we had shopping on the way, but that it wasn't to be paid for until pay day! It meant a bit of a weight off my mind really!!!You will then get an email (to the email address you registered with), with an invoice telling you what you ordered, when it is due to be delivered and the price!
This is very simple, you go back onto the website, log in, and go to "your orders", here you will click on the order you have put in, and you have around 3 hours to update the order before you will lose your delivery slot.
Updating your order can be adding things to your order which you may have forgotten the first time around, deleting items which you no longer want or need, or changing the amount of items you have ordered. It's simple!!!!Once you have updated your order, you MUST remember to check out again, this might involve putting your bank details in again, and you will again get a confirmation email- if you do not check out again, the order will not be received (not even the first one you put in) and you will not get your items. Don't worry about putting your bank details in again, you WILL only be charged the once, this is just to update their computers with the amount you owe them when your shopping comes! You will not need to re book your delivery so long as you completed the update within the time it told you at the beginning (this clearly comes up on the screen so you won't miss it!), but as I said earlier it is around 3 hours it is held for you.
I had one item substitued which came in a blue Sainsbury's bag so I could clearly see which is was, and the delivery man told me exactly what had been substituted and if that was ok, and if not he could take it away and I would be refunded, in my case it was fine as it was only a chocolate treat for me and my husband!!!!!
The payment for my delivery went out the morning of the delivery, and was exactly correct, my E Voucher had come off the price and not a penny was out (which again is unlike Asda who charged me £10 more than I was meant to pay!).A huge 10/10 for Sainsburys.com for all of the catagories: website useage/price/delivery/friendliness/effiency.

Great review. I have always had very good experiences with Sainsbury's online. (Although my Asda deliveries have been problem free too!)

I don't get my groceries delivered these days. I tend to wander round different shops and I used to get some bizarre substitutions that were just too much hassle to sort.
