Mini Cruise to Santander (Spain)

Advantages: Cheap booze, cheap fags, good entertainment, swimming pool
Disadvantages: Bars have no late licence, Pool not open long enough

...items at reduced prices. Many items can be bought at Spainish prices. Cinemas: There are 2 cinemas on the ship playing the latest films. About 90 passengers can use these at one time. Casino: The casino area is more of an amusement arcade. The usualy slot machines, dancing games and air hockey tables are in here. Childrens Playroom: Speaks for itself really. Departures: The Pont-Aven sails from Plymouth twice a week on either a Wednesday or a Sunday and from Santander (Spain) on a Monday or Thursday. Each crossing takes about 20hrs each way. Prices: Prices start at about £285 each way for 2 people with a car. There are numerous breaks and offers available also....

Diamond review  A taste of Spain

Advantages: Nice weather, pretty cheap
Disadvantages: Almost like being home because of a large Norwegian community

...A short summary My wife Nikki and I went on a trip to Albir right north of Benidorm in Spain in the period August 27th to September 5th 2004. We went together with our friends Olav and Allis and their two kids. During our stay we got a chance to drive around a little bit, visit the theme park Terra Mittica, the water park Aqualandia, drink some good Spanish red wine etc. I hope that this short trip report can be of some use to others that are going to the same destination. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments :-) Please check my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com if you want to see more pictures from the trip. Prelude When I was young I remember that we had some family friends that were going on vacation to Spain. At that time it seemed so exotic at least compared to our road trips around Norway. Well, over the years...

A beautifull walk near San Jose Spain

Advantages: Beautiful
Disadvantages: you really need a car

...A pretty cove and a beautiful walk near San José Spain We went on holiday to San José in Almeria Spain this Easter hols. This is a description of one of the best bays/beaches we found and a good coastal walk. We used the tourist hiking map Capo de Gata-Nijar (1:50.000 same scale as an standard OS map here) which we bought from the tourist information in San José, it comes with an accompanying book about the routes marked on the map. It also contained information about camping, apartments and other local information in Spanish. Dearly beloved can read some Spanish and I found I could follow a lot of the instructions fairly simply, you may be able to get an English copy. I will check this out .We found this a very good map and guide I would certainly recommend it. One morning we set out in our hire car, with a loaf of bread, some...

Barcelona Spain Catalonia

Advantages: Lot to do and see, coastline of beaches, and lots of good shops to the expensive to the cheap.
Disadvantages: metro underground gets busy in the paek seasons, but all places have easy access and are walkable

...Barcelona? Why Not ? One of the most beautiful cities in Europe Barcelona Spain is one of the biggest influences that has ever been met, there is everything that you could desire there, from a walk to the park to the beaches to the night life the Music festivals, the Tapas, the coast and the shops, it is endless, Barcelona is a place of opportunity with its beautiful buildings and history, a short stay would never be enough to cover all there are numbers of attractions, The main street La Rambla is amazing with its flower stalls which give the la rambla a gorgeous array of color and .flavor There are pet stalls with baby rabbits, turtles , terrapins, birds and all childrens furry friends, with souvenir store's and high street shops on the road side restaurants are also on the la rambla where you can sit and watch all...

LOST IN SPAIN...

Advantages: BEAUTIFUL PLACE - UNSPOILED - TRANQUIL - CLIMATE
Disadvantages: SOMETIMES UNKEPT - NEEDS A BIT OF GOVERNMENT MONEY SPENDING ON IT!

...Well, I’m writing this on New Years Eve, in the office, but totally bored as none of my customers are in their offices so I can’t phone them to chase them for their missing adverts…*sigh* Anyway, my thoughts turned to holidays, like they do at times like this!! In 2002 I went to Seville, Spain. I have traveled quite a bit but not really in Europe much so I didn’t know what to expect. Seville is a beautiful town – very unspoiled. If you’re looking for the ‘real Spain’ I suggest Seville and we went at an excellent time weatherwise – not too hot or cold. We spent 5 days there in May 2002, at the Hotel San Gil – this is a 4 star hotel, where most of the rooms are suites, sadly we had one of the very few double rooms there. They serve breakfast and ‘bar snacks...

WHAT A VENTURA IN SPAIN !! (Hopefully in the right place now!!)

Advantages: Endless, a wonderfulexperience for all ages.
Disadvantages: A little hilly if you are bad on your feet

...THIS ISN'T DEJA VUE!! I had put my review unwittingly in the wrong spot, I have not got it where oit belongs so if you kind people who rated it before could do so again I would be very gratefulas the other has to go!!! PORT AVENTURA THEME PARK After much nagging and begging we eventually gave in to our twelve year old son to take him to Port Aventura theme park, near Salou in Spain last October. We were staying in one of the parks hotel's but this review will be purely for the Park itself as I feel that the hotels are worthy of a review in their own right. So this review will be for the benefit of people wanting to know of the pros and cons of Port Aventura Theme Park - this review is written from an older person's perspective ( I was an old mum when I had Jack, I was aged 45 - my husband is nine years older...

Hotel Santemar, best from best

Advantages: BEST HOTEL!!! Next to Casino and beach!!!
Disadvantages: little pit too far from city central

...I was so exciting foe holiday. Even it was only mini brake it was our (my and my partner's) first ever holiday together. I was working as airhostess and very often flight to this destination. Always love those flights so I wanted to get myself to ground and explore Santander. I book hotel using spanish hotel's web page called Spain bookings, http://hotels.spain-bookings.com and found this lovely hotel. I never belive that we could have money to this hotel as it look so posh but I got it from excellent price for our 3 day brake. 3 nights where only 75 pound!!! Normal price per night is 65 £ and up. It was off season time, march 2006. I book flight fom Ryanair web page. Flight from Stansted to Santander was only 1hrs 20min. And my return tickets cost only 35 pounds.Brittany ferrys from Plymouth goes to Santander as well but...

LEAVE THE RAIN 4 SUNSHINE IN SPAIN

Advantages: Climate ... Pretty cheap ...Breathtaking places
Disadvantages: Can get very hot in peak season & high traffic congestion

...Alicante (Spain) is like my second home , although I have recently bought an apartment in Guardamar Del Segura (Alicante), thirty minutes drive from Alicante city . I have been visiting this part of Southern Spain for more than twenty years. During my twenty year visit , I have seen Alicante & its surrounding towns turn from shabby non-existent places into bustling and vibrant resorts. Anybody visiting Alicante & its surrounding resorts today , would not believe the dramatic changes that have taken place over the last 20 years or so. The scale of growth & expansion in the Alicante province is truly amazing - it no longer plays second fiddle to cities such as Barcelona & Madrid. This beautiful city & its neighbouring resorts all of which lie on the Costa Blanca coastline are growing not only in size but in popularity. So much so , that...

COME TO SPAIN!

Advantages: Beaches, good climate (in general), night life, cultural places...
Disadvantages: Not to come..

...Spain is the second biggest touristic destination in the world, just in the last year we received 40 million people (the same amount that the Spanish population), most of them came in summer attracted by the good beaches and climate, but there?s much more in Spain that I will write about. I will try to do a virtual walk around all the states (called autonomic communities), with a special importance for those which are the most touristic. Spain is divided in 17 autonomic communities that also are divided in provinces. This are the communities starting from the north-west to the south and later the islands. GALICIA It is the community where the rains are more often, but during the summer, it is possible to enjoy the beaches (which in my opinion are worse that the ones of the south), and many cultural places. Santiago de...

...Its that time of year when the hot weather is near , the football season has come to an end :O( , the nation is going exam crazy & Tim Henman will yet again let his fans down at Wimbledon , - The latter for me signals summer is close & so a vacation to sunny Spain is not far away. Many of you may be planning to visit Spain this summer , whether it be mainland or the surrounding islands or at least thought about visiting Spain for the first time but wasn`t quite sure what to expect. Then I hope the following information will come in useful to frequent visitors & to first time visitors. So for all you SANGRIA holiday makers ….. listen up! . •••••••••••••• Accomodation •••••...
