Silkies sell bras, hosiery and underwear. Silkies marketing campaign consists of sending a letter offering a free sample of one of their tights. The letter appears to be non obligatory but is not. They send you a continuous order until you beg them to stop sending you the prodcut. Silkies do not respond to requests to stop sending you their products and completely ignor legislation relating to the Distance Selling Act. If you email or fax them they ... ...respond to your emails and telephones requesting for them to stop sending you products. Their customer service is appalling if you are not making an order. This is a very shady company that has been established since 1995 and they need to stop. They take advantage of the vulnerable and those that do not know their legal rights and send demanding letters for payment for goods you did not order. They caused my mother grief & stress which was unforgivable ...

I first discovered Silkies tights when for some reason I actually read some of the junk mail, which seems to accumulate by the front door.
I had received a card telling me that I had been specially selected (!!) to try out Silkies tights by way of a free sample. I simply completed the card, saying what size I needed, what colour I required and my address. I posted it off (in a moment of boredom) and forgot all about it.
A week or so later, a package ... ...I was late for work, I put them on, grabbed the ton of paper that came with them and left.
Later, I read all the information tends to be sent along with these ‘free’ samples and was pleasantly surprised. Don’t get me wrong, I am a cynical and suspicious as the next person when it comes to free offers, but so far, Silkies tights have lived up to everything they promised. I also received a voucher to claim another free pair of tights ...
