Advantages: Ease of use website Disadvantages: Bad customer service, not efficient
I became a Simply/Misco customer earlier this year on the 27th of April 2005. -First Mistake.
They were cheaper, I thought! -2nd Mistake
I spent the £'s (and counting) difference in phone calls chasing orders and other issues. Still unresolved. I placed an order for two products on the 27/04/05 from Acer that I thought I was going to be happy with, one arrived next day (I picked it up from courriers depot myself) and the other I canceled a week ... ...when it was due in stock or for delivery, never to the day replied to any of my emails regarding those AND other issues... Yes I have copies of the e-mail as proof.
I thought, I still have some self-dignity left so I canceled On the 5/05/05 the remainder of my original order and placed a new one. I was assured it would take that long.
It is now the 17/05/05 I have contacted Simply/Misco yet again and a few more £'s later I found out exactly nothing.

Advantages: Good range of stock Disadvantages: Worst and most expensive customer service
I am writing this as a warning to anyone even contemplating buying from this 'SHOWER'.
I have never, although 99% internet shops have only sales on their brains, had such diabolical service in my life.
I have just looked at my telephone account and it records almost £15 in calls(mostly listening to music waiting for reply) in just one day, this is just to get authority to return FAULTY goods, they assume if they keep you hanging on long enough, ... ...or even got an answer from them.
I have emailed, faxed, etc.left my number without any callback whatsoever, I would not mind if they rang me back and told me to ----off!, at least I would have had a response.
I supposed I should have done some research on this outfit prior to ordering, as they have a sister company MISCO.CO.UK who are a business section of whom I dealt with sometine ago and experienced similar problems.
Beware, the prices here ...

Advantages: Cheap and sometimes plentyful stock levels Disadvantages: Very poor E-Mail advice!!
I've just browsed www.simply.co.uk's website, which as stated before by other reviewers, is difficult to navigate. I don't know if thats because of the huge range of products they have! One site I saw maybe a page of what I was looking for, but Simply has a huge range, several pages!
But the product I'm after I needed a little more advice before I buy. So I looked on their website and yep I saw sales@simply.co.uk. I thought the sales people should ... ...they knew who to pass the E-Mail to!! But all I got for my nice friendly E-Mail was: "Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for you email, unfortunately we are unable to answer sales enquiries by email

Simply Computers are one of the first computer product retailers that I actually purchased from, this was roughly 7 years ago and my purchases back then were by means of a glossy catalogue and ordering over the telephone or filling out a paper based order form. Over the last 2 years or so, I discovered that they actually had a website with on-line ordering and I use this method to this very day, although they still take orders over the telephone ... ...one of the leading IT resellers in the UK and are part of the $1.7 billion Systemax group who are the number 1 in Europe. They sell a wide range of products (over 20,000) and range from paper to computer systems including hardware, software, networking, data communications, telecommunications, media, accessories and even furniture. From experience, they tend to keep up-to-date with the newest products on the market and at competitive prices.

Advantages: Cheapish, Easy to use, Efficient Disadvantages: Not as cheap as some lesser known companies
I first used simply.co.uk about a month ago. I order most of the parts to build a new PC from them, and received them in a couple of days, for free postage and packing. I first thought that was an excellent offer. All the parts were in pristine condition, and I had no difficulty in building the PC and getting it up and running. Although not as cheap as some slightly less known wholesalers/retailers, they offer competitive prices on almost all of ...
