With the cost of mobiles these days whether on a contract or pay as you go deals. The internet can be a solution to all us text maniacs out there.

As I discovered WWW.SMS.AC my first thought was great a simple website address to remember that memory of mine couldn’t take in any complicated. Co.uk’s or. Uk.org!

Of course there is always the simple solution to this just add it to my favorites but I’m not always using the same computer so this wouldn’t help!

SMS.AC web page is quite bland looking nothing really stands out when you arrive apart from the SMS.AC logo, which is in four different colours at the top of the page.

You’ll find a gray box at the left hand side of the page, above this is a link, which says ‘Join SMS.ac – Its Free’. So if you’d like to become a member now’s the time to click on this.

Your be asked the following:

*Your Country

*Your City (My city wasn’t even here doesn’t matter if you put somewhere else, I wont say anything if you don’t).

*Your Mobile Phone Number

*Your Mobile Phone Carrier (Vodafone, Orange, O2, T-Mobile).

*Or you can Simple click a box to say you don’t have a mobile phone.

*SMS.ac ID – This can be anything maybe your Ciao ID? It’s got to be between 3 – 15 Characters.

*Password – This needs to be between 3 – 8 Characters and make sure it’s easy to remember!!

*Your first Name

*Your Last Name

*Your Email Address

*Re-enter email address

*Birthday

*Gender

*Your zip code (Post Code to us Brits).

*Enter the Word you see in the box above!

Now after all that your be relived, your be ready to start on the road to txting your mates.

WRONG….

What SMS.ac forget to state until you notice the tiny writing is that you will only be able to text Free for 30 days

AND….

You can only txt people whose mobiles have been registered with the site.

TXT FLIRT

There is an option to SMSFlirt this isn’t something I wanted to go into really. I have a boyfriend I’m quite happy with thank you very much.

But just for you guys I had a quick look for those of you who maybe interested in it, you have to register your details and say what sort of person you are searching for e.g. Sex, Age, Country.

SMS CLUBS

Another feature the site includes is a service that enables you to message other members with similar interests to you. It states it costs 8 credits per message! - Don’t like that sound of that.

MORE SPENDING

You can buy ring tones, I must admit the ring tones are some of the latest tunes in the charts so if you’re a fan of someone in the pop world then you may find the ring tone here, at a cost!

Mobile phone Games are also available including, Puzzles, arcade, Sport, Shoot-em-up, Racing and Strategy.

CREDITS

The site is very cleverly laid out it does state that you get 8 free credits a day but in small writing it says ‘* FREE credit offer valid for a limited time in most Countries.

I tried to find out how much credits are for you, but with the sites layout and the slow loading pages I had no success.

I would not advise you to use this website it seems to be full of ‘catches’ you think your getting a free txt messaging service that’s certainly what I thought but your not.

Unfortunately a lot of txt messaging sites are like this one. If I do come across one worth a visit I’ll be sure to let you know.

For now your better off sticking with txting on your mobile phone it probably works out a lot cheaper!
