This is short and not very sweet. Research more and heed the warning!
My girlfriend and I recently answered an invite to join up to this site (sms.ac) as it allows free texts between members.
I do not recall, and neither does she, either ticking a box or having a box to deselect regarding texts sent to your mobile.
However, within a week, £10 of credit had been removed from her phone and we were both receiving rendom text messages generated my sms.ac!
Upon calling 02 Customer Services, it transpired that sms.ac had been sending premium rate text messages to her phone, which had eaten up her credit in a matter of days. Now I havent had my bill through yet, but I was also getting these messages, so I dread to think what my bill will be.
It was easy enough to cancel by sending a message to a number as given my 02 Customer Services.
So I would recommend that if you have signed up and are recieving these messages call your network provider and find out the cancellation number. If you are thinking of signing up, think very carefully first!!!

Advantages: Free texting, easy enough to navigate, 8 free texts a day. Disadvantages: Some features expensive, very slow loading, TERRIBLE background music!
