Advantages: Very detailed, hardly any adverts, some excellent links Disadvantages: WHY IS IT CALLED "SOCCERBASE" and not "FOOTBALLBASE"
If you are interested in football you’ll love this site, if not you’ll hate it. This is a site for all you football stats loving anoraks out there.
Basically “Soccerbase.com” is as it title suggests, a massive and very detailed database of all British football teams, players, grounds, etc and has some very neat utilities on it. And believe me it isn’t just for league clubs, it is possible to find info on non-league ... ...find on most football sites.
The things I like most about this site are.
Head to head: On this option, what you do is input 2 teams and compare their records against each other, past results, scorers, etc, so you can settle arguments over past results against certain teams and at the same time find some great information.
Betting section: This is the most impressive part of the site as far as I’m concerned, if like me you love a little flutter ...

Advantages: Fast and excellent football resource centre. Disadvantages: Past players not included and non-league data can be outdated.
...require statistics on football then Soccerbase.com is the place to visit. It is indeed a little gem lost in the big world of the Internet.
Soccerbase is owned by the Daily Mirror as part of its Mirror Group and is primary a betting site designed to even the odds with the bookmakers. Though somehow I expect that the bookmakers too use this excellent reference source.
Should betting not interest you but football does, then Soccerbase is still ideal ... ...very first Football League season and searching the database is very quick and easy. For instance, if want to know the results of all the league and cup games between say Lincoln City and Exeter City then you would enter both team's names and select "head to head". Within seconds the results of every game played between those two sides would be extracted and displayed. Click on a result after the 1997 season and the team details will appear, as yet ...

Advantages: Up-to-date, Easy-to-use, huge depth of information Disadvantages: Not much but statistics
Soccerbase is one of the best sites around for straightforward and bang up-to-date football statistics. You can find detailed information about any player (records over previous seasons), any club and any referee among other things. The site is especially useful for those doing research for football fixed odds and spread betting and should provide just about everything you need. Its also good for non-gamblers just wanting to quickly find out some ... ...the minute league tables and general form guides.
Soccerbase does not push itself for being a football entertainment website, or pretend to be anything other than a home of football statistics. Clearly, if you're not a fan of the beautiful game, then you will be wasting your time at this website. On the other hand, if you're researching, you're onto a winner. ...

Advantages: Everything you need to know Disadvantages: Can be a little out of date
When it comes to football statistics, Soccerbase is father, son and holy ghost. This enlightening webiste will tell you just how good (or, in my case) bad you're side is, in black and white.
Numbers and figures do not lie, this website does not lie. If you want to see how many goals Thierry Henry has scored for Arsenal, you can. If you want to see how many clean sheets Leigh RMI's Paul Chricton has kept, you can. And, if you want to find out what ... ...that as well.
Aside from all of the statistics, there is the ease of use and simplicity of use of this website which make it effortless to navigate freely and simply.
There is a negative point, as there always is with such websites... mission impossible; keeping all the statistics up-to-date - they simply cannot do it (and, in reasonable mind, one cannot expect them to, either)
Apart from that this website is essential to any sad stattos, such ...

Advantages: The perfect tool for statistics Disadvantages: Certain things are too hard to find
This is a dream for every football fan. Yet it remains largely anonymous to the nation.
With results, statistics, career info, it has everything a football fan needs - not only on their own team but also on just about every team and nation across the globe.
If you need to find out a bit about the striker your club are interested in to simply brag down the pub this should be your first port of call. Equally if you are writing an article or something ...
