After previously owning the Sony Dream machine C253 and then seeing the Dream machine C273 i was taken back by how amazing it looks and the wide array of features. this put me in no doubt that i had to spend the £35 (ish) from Dixons.

The main asset to this Clock radio is the fact that even though it has not got DAB it does have FM/MW/LW which will provide you with more than enough radio stations for those long hangover mornings in bed. For me LW is the best bit as it has Radio 4 LW which has all the cricket commentary of internation matches which are only also online and DAB. The speaker on the back is not only fairly large but the sound quality is magnificant for a small machine and could almost work as the main Radio in a room. The final impressive feature of the radio is that there are 15 potential presets so most of your programmes can be stored.

The LCD display sisplays the time as well as the day and date, all very visible so it can be seen from reasonably long distanes. The display also has a green backlight with three settings for the brightness from very bright to dull. There are also two smaller LCD displays on the side which are both different alarms which can be turned on and off while storing the time. When setting the alarm there is a choice of the radio, melody or buzzer so there is something to wake anyone up.

Finally as like many other bedside clock radios there is a snooze function, a nap timer, and a sleep timer aswell. These are all very useful and are can be easily set.

Dimensions:- Width - 1730mm, Height - 57.2mm, Depth - 133.5mm.
Weight:- 630g

Ive seen this for around £25 on amazon now and for that much money you get an awfull lot and you will not be disappointed. As for the looks, its modern silver colour means that it looks amazing.
