Below this update is a glowing review I wrote of splashdvd.com some time ago. I recently heard several awful tales about how the site had gone downhill and checked it out for myself.
I ordered a CD which I was told was in stock. Two months later I had still not received my CD and my emails ... Read review
Advantages: cheap prices, good range of products, free shipping Disadvantages: treatment of the order is slow
*WHAT IS IT?
***************
Splash is a website where you can buy CDs, DVDs, books, video games, cameras(and related accessories), PC supplies. For the people who know CD WOW, Splash is a similar website. They are shipping worldwild, however, it is free only for UK orders (which suits me perfectly)
*PRICES
***********
The prices are again very similar to CD WOW's. To be honnest, I am a bargain hunter, and when I look for a CD, DVD or video ... ...and splash. I recently purchased a DVD which was cheaper on Splash. So here you are.
The DVD prices are around £10, and the new releases around £13. Which is very good, knowing that they are around £19 on high street shops.
The CDs are priced like CD WOW: around £10 for a new release, and less expensive (around £8) for older CDs.
The video games are around £30, which is again around £10 cheaper than high street shops.

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Never get the DVD! ***NOW GONE BUST!!!****
Website is easy to use, and the prices are among the cheapest, if not the cheapest. Thats the good stuff over....
I have ordered three times from here. After two weeks nothing had arrived but my credit card had been promptly debited when I placed the order. The third time I ordered some blank discs, 100 to be precise. They claim they sent 25. Hmmm, where were the other 75? No stock. There was stock when they billed my credit card.
One of the DVD's ... ...3 November. It's now February. I did get a full refund so lost only my time. I found the website carried little details about the discs, and a lot had "no image available". The back catalogue wasn't huge, seems to be latest releases more than anything. It is certainly competitive on price but they just don't have the goods! I found www.play.com much better, very fast and very cheap, but sometimes a pound dearer than splash...but at least you get ...

OK All - I don't need anymore complaints about my Capital Letters. Let me just advise you - on searching for splash dvd, and after finding out that they had gone into receivership, and after the search engine came up with this site for splash dvd, and after my loss of money, I just thought that I would attempt to help a few people in not ordering anything from spash dvd, to save them the money loss that I had. This is my first visit to this website ... ...Well - maybe my telepathic powers are failing me, or just maybe ALL OF YOU ARE TOO QUICK TO CRITICISE!!! Thanks for the welcome, and apologies for my mistake.
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! SPLASH DVD HAVE GONE INTO LIQUIDATION!!!! SPLASH DVD ARE AN APPAULING COMPANY. I HAVE ORDERED DVD'S ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND HAVE CONSTANTLY BEEN CHASING THEM FOR THE NON-DELIVERED ORDER - EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE TAKEN ALL THE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT AT TIME OF ORDER. I NOW FIND ...

Advantages: cheap prices for CDs and DVDs Disadvantages: no delivery, ignored e-mails
Splash DVD is an entertainment supplier (they sell DVDs, CDs, games, books, camera and PC supplies) based in Jersey. Amusingly on their phone line they claim to be Europe’s number one, although I seriously doubt this after my dealings with them.
Splash DVD currently has a £2 off voucher for new customers, which is always a great temptation. £2 off an already reasonably priced chart CD (£8.99 on average for top 40 CDs such as Dido’s Life for Rent) ... ...That said, they could hardly charge for postage as slow as theirs! Their website is cheap and cheerful – bright yellow and easy to navigate. Sometimes I get lost when looking for CDs or DVDs – the categories are not as well laid out as say Amazon or CD Wow. Most importantly, they’re cheap – you can buy DVDs as cheap as £4.99 or brand new ones such as Tuxedo for under £10. They stock most CDs or DVDs – or have a supplier who does – but they’re simply ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: No response to emails. Took 29 mins to get through by phone
I have only used this company twice and both times have been a disaster. Delivery takes forever but taking your cash is immediate.
I waited four days for a reply to my email chasing delivery of a DVD ordered 3 weeks before but still didn't get a reply. I tried to phone them and it 29 mins for me to get through. I therefore cancelled my order but later on checking their site found the order was still showing as outstanding. I just hope I get the ...
