splashdvd.com

I came across splashdvd.com whilst looking for good CD prices, they stood out from the rest with lower prices, more variety than other cheaper sources, and free delivery.

I jumped at the chance to save myself a good £3-4 compared with rival companies, however I didn't expect to receive the pathetic excuse for customer service that followed.

Firstly they withdrew the money from my account as I was still waiting for my CD to arrive, so I was left waiting empty handed and out of pocket. The confirmation email I received stated that:

"Usually we can despatch these items within 7 days of receiving your order but occasionally our supplier is out of stock. If we can not source your CD within 4 weeks then the order for that particular CD will be cancelled, we will of course inform you by email should this be the case."

After 7 days... nothing.
After 4 weeks... nothing, not even an apology or email to say the order had been cancelled.

A little while after this I decided to contact them to find out where my CD was!

I got this reply:
"I have been in talks with our supplier due to the length of time you have been waiting for this item and they have advised me they can get this item within approx 10 days therefore would you like me to proceed and go ahead with the order or would you prefer at this late stage to cancel?"

I decided that 10 days would be fine and told them to go ahead with the order and this was confirmed by them.

After 10 days... nothing!!

I have tried contacting them a few times since, but with no reply.. Its now getting on for 4 months and they don't even have the decency to respond.

So the current situation:
Predicted waiting time: 7 days
Actual waiting time: 4 months, and still waiting..
They still have my money, I have no CD, and they won't reply to me.

Anyone considering buying something from splashdvd.com think again, their service is terrible and they draw out your money before even dispatching the product.
