Advantages: Ease of use, memory capacity Disadvantages: Quality, feel, value for money
...The ToshibaSatellite L500 is the same as most other toshiba laptops. It looks stylish and can do all the basic functions that you would want for a laptop. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. However, the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard is great as it makes it so easy to type numbers. You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting.
Overall, this laptop is reasonable at most things but not...
Advantages: some outsatding fratures Disadvantages: none

Advantages: Value For money Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...
Advantages: Fast, Portable, Comfortable and Sleek, HD Resolution, Toshiba support is brilliant! Disadvantages: Awful grapics card, Not very durable, Speaker volume isn't fab...
...that law legal. So the laptop, it's got plenty of positives and only a few negatives. And if you've read my other reviews, I like to get the negatives out of the way first.
NEGATIVES
I'll get straight to the point, the graphics card is seriously bad, there's no way around it. It's a new thing where your computers RAM is used to power some of the graphics, like video and pictures. However this won't work with high-end games like the Call of Duty series or Crysis. This however, isn't a laptop you'd buy if you were wanting one for gaming, so it's not a major draw back. Another bad point is the durability, which isn't great. The lid can be pushed in, revealing it is fairly hollow apart from the screen and its components. I thought this a bit stupid as Toshiba are just wasting money making more material, why not just make it thin and tight guys...
Advantages: Built in webcam and microophone. 17 in screen, reasonable size. Disadvantages: not really any.
...and about and bored of doing your work.
The laptop has an integrated microphone and webcam, making it ideal for making video calls from as well allowing for a pretty cool face-regognition software for log-on, removing the need for a password, this saves me an incredibly vital 2 seconds. :p. Although I suppose if you add it up...
All in all this is a better than average and fairly cheap laptop which is well worth buying....
Advantages: FREE, does everything I need it to do! Disadvantages: None really

Comes with everything you need to operate your lap top and a lot more besides I am sure. Internet security McAffe and Microsoft Office are only free trials, good to get you going, but you will need to renew after trial period. Personally I think Microsoft should come with all lap tops, I think it's daylight robbery... but that's another story!

Advantages: HDMI Port, Quite, Cheap for 17" Laptop Disadvantages: 2GB RAM, and HD-DVD Drive
...either through the VGA or HDMI, and gives multiple options once one is connected.
There is a HD-DVD drive built in because Toshiba was a company responsible for creating these disks, but they did not take off and a Blu-Ray drive would have been a better option. But it still works in all the normal ways that a DVD-ROM driver would and plays all DVDs and CDs.
There is a dual core processor located inside which helps to run the Vista operating system, but at times it is very slow. This is generally the case when there are multiple windows open. But saying this, it can handle most tasks very easily and quickly e.g. opening and using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
The overall design of the laptop I would say is very good. With the addition of Harman/Lardon speakers it means that it has excellent sound quality when playing music, videos...
Advantages: Ultra-Portable, light weight, 13.3", Intel Core2duo, Centrino2 (Latest Technology) laptop Disadvantages: NOTHING AT ALL
...definitely the best 'All Rounder' notebook of 2008. It has everything today's laptop needs, Bluetooth, in-built Camera, Firewire port, HDMI port (icing on the cake), Vista Home-Premium, 5x1 Card Reader, DVD RW, Dolby-Digital Stereo, independent Media Player Buttons (don't need to switch-on windows) and the High Powered 'Intel P8400 Multi-Processor'.
Fastest Laptop:
My 10 days of heavy usage proved that the ToshibaSatellite U400-138 really runs super-superfast, takes heavy computing without a quirk, that's what we need today in our notebook. The Crystal-Brite TFT LCD displays 1280x800 rez. (plainly speaking, very-very good quality images) and though the 128 Mb Graphics are a low config. Yet it did my Video Editing (HD, mind you!) without a hitch. The NVidia Geforce Graphics would have been better, but you don't always get everything, do you...
Advantages: Good sound and great features Disadvantages: Not the best for the wireless connection, keeps switching off
...This review is for the ToshibaSatellite L350-20G.
Design
------------
One of the key reasons for my purchase of this laptop was because of the colour. You have this solid black colour and on the screen and the backing you have this shinier colour which is fantastic.
On the front of the laptop you have the latches which open the laptop and they are very easy to use and will open the laptop instantly without any hassle at all. On the outside of the laptop on the front panel you have got the wireless connector switch which is quite large and not that hard to miss.
Down the left hand side you have got memory card slot and a USB connection. On the right hand side you have the CD Rom section which is easy to see and next to this you have got another USB connection and the charger connection.
On the back you have another USB connection...
Advantages: superb clarity, great sound, fast and responsive, well made Disadvantages: very heavy
...Yesterday was a busy day, I received a visit from a nice guy from IT who set up a remote log in to the works IT network for me and delivered a laptop for my work use. I was expecting a battered second hand Dell but what I have is way past any expectations. I have this gorgeous Toshiba whose capabilities totally outclass any needs I have. At my stuttering screeching request of ?has this come out of my budget? I was informed that, no, it had been ordered by some other manager who had left before even receiving it and had been surplus to requirements. Well every cloud has a silver lining and it will be a splendid addition to my unit when im able to get back to work ,and much as I would like to discuss the NHS and its superb ability to let staff waste its money I?ll restrain myself and get down to the details.
