Advantages: Price, multitasking, AM2 and AM2+ compatibility, 65 nm energy save technology. Disadvantages: When overclocked the temperatures are high but stable.
...AMDPhenom 9500 quad core processor reviewed.
I?m not the biggest PC hardware master, but I have some knowledge about it, and I need to say that this processor surprised me with it?s great power.
It uses socket AM2+, but I?ve heard it works on AM2 socket unfortunately on AM2 socket you can?t use it?s full potential due to changes in processor architecture. The 65 nm technology does not only save energy but as well it keeps the CPU cooler, it does not produce so much heat. The 4 cores make it a great choice for people who use many applications at the same time, like a busy office worker. The multitasking of this processor is at really high standards, I own this processor and at the same time, I surf the internet with many tabs opened, I have many documents opened, few applications and communicators and it still won?t get stuck even...
Advantages: Highly overclockable, will eat, chew and spit out anything! PRICE!!!! Disadvantages: its milli seconds slower than the I7! so no disadvantages at all!!!
...On for my 7th review!!
I bought this remarkable peice of kit approximately 3 months ago, and i have to say it certainly does NOT disappoint!
With masses and masses of power it will spit out anything with grace and style and is the equivelant to using a nuclear device to knock off a door! full on over kill but done with pure style and less mushrooming and carnage!
so the basic standard is 3Ghz x4 when it comes out of the box... ok, so for many times as much you can have Pentiums I7 with more oomph and quicker! but the AMD comes into its own when you decide to overclock the already beastly device! i have read in bench tests it has peaked at 5Ghz! but definitely not recommended! i think 3.5-4Ghz is a safe bet, for standard cooling and pre-set voltages..... but that is still a whopping 14Ghz of combined power! BEASTLY is an understatement...
Advantages: Low Price, High Performance, High overlock capability Disadvantages: None
...One month ago I decided to bought this AMD Black Edition AMDPhenom II X4 940 processor to upgrade my old one. I choose it because I need more powerful performance to operate my favorite games and some design graphics activity which need high end peripherals requirement to run smooth.
I combined this processor with my existing peripheral such TA790GX motherboard, 8Gb Ram and 512Mb DDR3 GeForce 9600GT PCI-X Graphic card. Since the first time I booting up using this Phenom II X4 940, I found my computer run absolutely faster when loading my Windows, more than 2 times using my old processor.
When I try to run my favorite games PES2009 and NFS Carbon, I can run both games so smooth at highest detail setting. I have also overlock it up to 3,4Ghz and run for a day and I found still stable performance and just a little heat, but I think it is...
Advantages: quad-core design handles data efficiently; cheaper than competing Intel quad-core chips. Disadvantages: Expensive
...The good: "True" quad-core design handles data efficiently; cheaper than competing Intel quad-core chips.
The bad: Not fast enough to justify the price savings compared to Intel's chips; next-gen Intel quad-core due out soon could further the performance gap.
The bottom line: AMD's new Phenom quad-core CPU has little to recommend it over competing chips from Intel. The Phenom is marginally less expensive, but not enough to make up for its subpar performance. Unless AMD drops prices more aggressively, it looks like Intel will maintain its grasp on the CPU market for the foreseeable future.
For raw performance, AMD's Athlon 64 X2 chips have lingered behind their Intel Core 2 Duo counterparts all year. Only aggressive pricing from AMD kept its old dual-core CPUs in systems and on store shelves. According to our testing, AMD will...
Advantages: Price, Speed, Ease of OC Disadvantages: Motherboard support
...PLEASE NOTE - if you plan to buy this product, there are two versions, a 140W and a 125W version. In this review, i have the 125W model
I bought this processor a while ago, to go in a cheap-ish gaming pc. Along with a 9800gt, and 4gb of ram, the computer flies, even with all graphics set to high in games. For the price - especially compared to Intel's Q6600 - this processor is immense.
In the box, there's the processor, a standard heat-sink (cement already applied) and a stick (a must-have for a gamer!!).
This processor is like all the other AMDs, easy to install, but i had some difficulty attaching the heatsink. Once attatched though, it felt extremely sturdy.
In my rig, this processor is over-clocked to 2.86Ghz per core. Even though this is a 10% over-clock, the system is extremely stable, and suprisingly cool (i haven't got around...
Advantages: Robust, powerful, does the job, high quality Disadvantages: heavier than others
...the type of flooring, moving effortlessly between wood laminate, carpet and rugs.
Dust bags for these machines are available everywhere and clip in really easy, although go for the Sebo brand unless you want them splitting all over you. These fill up quickly, but to me that's a good sign. The Sebo x4Extra as I say is a powerful machine that eats a lot of dust. The machine contains an anti allergy filter which will help with any asthma sufferers and according to the instructions this makes the machine hospital-grade. Anything worthy of 5 star hotels and hospitals is good enough for me!
The brush easily slides in and out from a hatch in the side making it easy to free up your wife's favourite diamond encrusted necklace, grandad's shoe laces or your daughter's mobile phone charger. The Sebo glides effortlessly around the house. They are...

Review of Sebo X4EXTRA
Advantages: Pure Processing Power Disadvantages: Power Usage
...I have recently built a server system, I got hold of two of these for a client, he was creating a 2 Server Network hub for his business.
I married this up with 8GB of ram in both servers, 2 Gigabyte Motherboards, and 1Terabyte Hard Disk Drives in both computers.
All i can say is: Amazing.
The system ran faster than anything i have ever seen. the 3 GHz Quad means you have 750MHz in 4 cores, using any combination of these 4 (Via Windows Task Manager Affinity) can create a powerful system that can run a HUGE amount of simulatenous computational tasks, and you will still have left over CPU time to do background tasks, like virus scans!
Just make sure you have the equipment to handle the power this processor needs, it uses 125 Watts when running at 100%.
Further, if you can get hold the AMD PIB (Processor In Box) version, it comes...
Advantages: Quad core, cheap, good socket, Disadvantages: low cache, high power consumption
...A nice entry-level quad core for those who are really concerned with having four cores.
Phenoms are far cheaper than the rival core 2 quad brand, but do offer less cache.
This CPU handles load very well, and for £90 (best price i have found) this is a very impressive little chip.
I would consider aiming at an upmarket Athlon64x2, perhaps the black edition and spending the extra on some RAM. If you are really set on a quad (which most applications do not fully utilize yet) then it may be worth upgrading to the 2.3 or 2.4Ghz model.
This runs pretty cool with a good 3rd party cooler, mine sits at about 45C which is very comfortable for a quad.
Its cheap, powerful and reliable, but it sits in limbo in my opinion between high end Athlon64x2 and higher clockage Phenomx4s....
Advantages: Great all-round performance, style and gadgets Disadvantages: The SWB version is too small for shopping at Tesco's
...Avid reader....
You will of course know my style by now, and understand that I get a little overenthusiastic about the toys that I buy. However... This time I waited a while before writing my review, but can still say that this IS a FANTASTIC car!
Let's start with why you should buy the Imported Pajero rather than it's English cousin the Shogun...
First you have to understand *why* there are so many Pajero's in the UK. This started back in the early nineties when the only decent 4x4's you could get were imports (other than Land Rover/Range Rover's), and normally an imported car would need 'conversion' to the UK (e.g. Swapping over of the steering wheel to the correct side etc.) This is not the case with a Pajero, as the Japanese drive on the same side of the road as us! The only changes that need to be made are; Indicator lights...
