...The Toshiba 32Z17B is a beast of a TV, however saying that, it is of a pretty high standard, has an excellent picture quality to it especially as it’s only a 50 hertz, along with the sound which is Dolby Pro-Logic/Dolby Surround. The TV itself weighs a ton, don’t even bother trying to lift it by yourself, unless you want to slip a disc or something, it also does take up quite some room, so again, don’t bother if you have a small place, unless your focal point is your TV. The TV itself has Nicam, Fastext and a Flat Screen, which I must add is of a high quality. It features 3 Scart sockets at the back along with an RGB output. ...-----| My experience - (if you want my opinion and how ive got on) |----- This monitor has a 17" viewable screen (17" diagonally, this monitor is not widescreen it is square) at the resolution 1280x1024, with a response time of 8ms, and a contrast ratio of 700:1. This makes it more than adequate as a gaming monitor. When playing games with this monitor it is a much more immersive experience than most lower spec monitors, there is also no ghosting and is very fast, which means you dont get shot by the guy who hasnt appeared yet. The screen is surrounded by a 1.5cm border which makes the screen appear bigger also. The contrast ratio of 700:1 makes this monitor also viable for office use, making black text on a white background very clear. The none-stars don't look so much as in real life which is a minus really. In overall its an excellent game that can build up more potential for newer FIFA games. ...I was a Dyson virgin until last month when my trusty Henry's nose kept falling off so I bit the bullet and decided to pay the £229 for the DC08 telescopic. What attracted to me about Dyson was, to be honest, being able to see my own dirt - errh! but wholly satisfying. I had held off getting one because of a) the cost and b) I had heard from more than one source that they can be unreliable. On further research though, I found out that it tends to be the uprights that have the problems rather than the cylinder version. Well the proof of the pudding is in the eating and i can honestly say that suction wise I have never had anything like it. I'm sure it would suck the paper off the walls if you pointed it in the right direction. After my Henry it did though seem awfully heavy and cumbersome. The hose, especially seemed unweildy... ...Having visited my dentist recently, she recommended I try an Oral B electric toothbrush, as I have some gum problems, and need to keep my teeth and gums really clean. The RRP for this toothbrush is around £45 in the shops at the moment, but I got mine for £22 on Ebay! I've not used an electric brush before and I must say it was quite different to a normal manual toothbrush. I'm used to scrubbing away, but you just guide the brushhead slowly along each tooth! It takes a while get used to the vibrations, and don't forget to put the brush in your mouth before switching it on, otherwise the toothpaste slides off straight down the plug hole! It gives a signal every 30 seconds so you can divide your 2 minutes recommended brushing time on all areas of your teeth. Apparently it pulsates (moves in and out) 40,000 times a minute to loosen... Also the P4 2.4B now comes with 512kb of level 2 cache as opposed to the 256kb level 2 cache of older P4's, again this means the 'B' series of Pentium 4's offers a far superior performance increase with double the amount of level 2 cache at its disposal. So how does the Pentium 4 2.4B perform? Well, this will obviously depend on other components inside your PC such as type of RAM (SDRAM, DDR or Rambus) and which application/game you are running, no two persons may see similar results unless using identical setups and for this reason alone i dont feel it is fair to refer to benchmarks as such as this will only serve to show you what my personal PC is capable of and be of little use to you, needless to say tho that i upgraded from a P4 1.7 Willamette socket 478 to my current P4 2.4B...
