A boring review on CD-R80 discs!!!
Review of TDK CD-R 700 MB 24x by
kerryzach
Advantages: se op
Disadvantages: see op
...to sunlight.
The discs can be cleaned, as with other disccs, using a clean, dry soft cloth. Do not attach anything to the data side of the discs as this will cause damage. If labelling is necessary, it is advised that water resistat felt pens are used to write on the label side only!! Biros and other sharp nibbed pend will cause irrepairable damage to your discs and therefore will stop the data being retrieved!
TDK Plus CD-R discs are compatible with all types and speeds of CD-R writing systems and are playback compatible with all CD-ROM drives and audio CD players. Plus CD-R discs are also playable on DVD-ROM drives.
The recording length is 80 minutes with 700MB of storage. I actually bought ten of these discs from PC World for around £10.00. Staples had them for pretty much the same price. I have looked on Kelkoo.co.uk and have found...

The Best Brand CD-R So Far
Review of TDK CD-R 650 MB 16x by
waynehorrigan
Advantages: So far they're 100% problem-free
Disadvantages: Never say never with CD-Rs
...For my money, TDK have a long and respectable tradition in the production of blank media. In the 80's I'd tape the top 40 rundown on Radio One with crazy old Bruno Brookes using one of their many blank audio tape products. Around the same time I'd tape my favourite programmes (Gary Shandling, The Tube and Grange Hill) using a TDK blank video cassette.
And now, as we undergo burn and rip mania, I've started using their products for my MP3 collections too. Loyal? Well, yes. When the day comes that TDK let me down, I'm off to find a new brand. But in the meantime, if it ain't broke......
WHAT IS A CD-R?
CD-R stands for compact disc recordable as opposed to rewritable (that's a CD-RW). The difference between the two formats is that you can use a CD-RW over and over again, but a CD-R only once. CD-R, whilst capable of storing...

What to write on a cd-r?
Review of Maxell CD-R 700 MB 48x by
Ollydv
Advantages: Cheap, Comes wrapped and with cases, and er... nice colour discs
Disadvantages: None really
...So about 2 years ago I popped into the local Asda, and saw these reduced to £1, so I thought I would get them as you can't go wrong for £1. And I didn't go wrong, they are really good. Now I buy them quite regularly. I mainly use CD-R's for music, and these give really good sound quality on my cd player.
Reliability...
I have had lots of CD-R discs that have come up with errors such as 'Disk Error' and others during the burning process, but the times that I have used these (which is a lot), what I can remember I haven't had that happen once. With a 48x speed the process is really quick, even burning a CD with the full 80 minutes taken up.
Use…
I use CD-R's mainly for music CDs and VCDs but you can use it for all sorts, e.g. Data, Photos, Copying Games (although that's illegal). These can only be used once, which means you can...

Another Day, Another CD-R
Review of TDK CD-R 700 MB by
waynehorrigan
Advantages: Flawless, huge capacity
Disadvantages: None thus far
...I'm a bit confused. The picture on Ciao shows the CDR74, 650MB of this product but the description is that of the 700MB, CDR80 version. For the purpose of this review I'll go with Ciao's description - which is lucky because that's the one I own!
I've recently completed a TDK CD-R review but when I saw that this alternative TDK product was listed on Ciao, I felt compelled to review this too. I know, I need to get out more, but my wife and daughter are at Ikea and my son is in his room playing with his Thomas The Tank Engine tracks and trucks, so what the hell? Anyway, I'm working on my bedroom tan.......
The ins and outs of CD-Rs appears in my previous review so I won't bore you with all that again. I'll just review the product this time.

TDK CD-R Marker Pen
Review of TDK CD-R Marker Pen - CD labelling pen by
Kingkarliii
Advantages: Last a long time
Disadvantages: Only 4 Colours
...in the front of the packet or case to hold the pens securely in place
***The Pens***
As I have already mentioned there are four pens in a packet, Red, Green, Blue and Black. Each one has written in silver TDK CD-R PEN with the TDK logo clearly visible. On the end of each pen is a different coloured screw in cap to help identify the pen that you require. As well as this each pen has a different coloured lid and have a clip on them so that you can clip them to the inside of your jacket or shirt pocket. The nibs of these pens are really fine making it easy to write and recognise what you have written and there is no smudging at all
***Smell***
Like most permanent markers these pens give of toxic fumes that would make you high if you were to sit there and sniff them or use them in a small unaired room.
***Price***
Unfortunately I did...

ThankQ BenQ!
Review of BenQ CD-R 700 MB 48x by
bad_bob00
Advantages: Very cheap, very reliable, you probably wont run out for a long time!
Disadvantages: Can get damaged quite easily, no CD-cases to protect them
...Intro
Recordable and re-writable CD's are one of the most popular forms of storage nowadays for computers, and this is no doubt down to the inevitable gradual-distinction of floppy disks, and the slump in prices for CDs. Nobody seems to use floppy disks anymore, they are too unreliable and can hardly fit any data too (1.44 MB usually) and when you compare this to the 700MB or so that CD's can hold, you can see why these are more popular. CD's can last over a hundred years too (according to the BenQ website) - if they are kept in the perfect conditions.
Where I got them & price
I decided to purchase these BenQ CD-R's as I felt that 100disks which hold 700MB, for only £10, is a really good price. This works out at about 10p per CD, which isn't bad at all! It sounds ridiculous that you can pay a couple of quid for a few floppy...
