Cannon powershot A100 1.2
Review of Canon PowerShot A100 by
cashman44
Advantages: Cannon Quality, well made, impressive fetures.
Disadvantages: Battery consumption, no case provided in box
...The cannon A100 was my first digital camera, having progressed from 35 mm film. Previously being a Cannon sureshot instant camera (very good) and an olympus OM 30 SLR. (superb but worth peanuts now !!?? ) no one wants the old messy film anymore, I guess.
Used to love the old film stuff , depth of field, shutter speed, apeture, lenses, bits and bobs, you know the story.
Remember how exciting it was to wait that short time ( couple of days was cheap, or 1 hour was bleedin expensive) you just had to see those pics you took 6 months ago !. (walked into a post once looking at the results) Now there's no waiting, simply plug it in the Pc and you're away (no more bumps on the head ! )
Sorry getting back to digital..... I bought this camera 2 years ago when 1.2 megapixels was the in thing, the salesman kept going on about how rubbish 640...

An excellent Canon L series lens
Review of Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 AF by
graeme10
Advantages: Solid build quality, excellent results, quick focussing, quiet motor
Disadvantages: Rather expensive, could be heavy if carrying around all day
...New prices are around the £1100-1300 mark - I saw a second hand one in my local camera shop last spring for around £800 and jumped at the chance. Hardly used at the time, but I've made up for that now....
As an aviation photographer who specialising in low-level jet shots, I needed a big lens that was relatively easy to carry up mountains, had a solid build quality (as it would be in a camera backpack) and delivered excellent results with ease of use (no second chances to get that all important shot!). With the f/4.5-5.6 L 100-400mm USM IS lens, I wasn't disappointed at all.
Build quality is superb, the lens is solid yet easily operated. The push-pull zoom mechanism may fool some people but I find it exceptionally easy to use. A locking collar on the lens can slow the zoom movement or lock it completely. The tripod attachment...

Disadvantages: None

Well as you probably already know, Canon is a worldwide company and is great for it's cameras and camcorders in particular. I too like canon and also have a digital camera as i have previously reviewed before. They are a well trusted company and sell fantastic products to suit all of our needs and this camcorder does just that.
This is the Canon DC 100. It's picture quality is astounding when capturing those precious memories you'd like to keep and even when taking photographs with this. The lens has a massive 25x optical zoom lens, which really is incredible, Widescreen high resolution recording and 2.7-inch Widescreen LCD display panel. This DC100 model is really easy to use and in particular suits those people who are just starting out at filming- whether that...

Useful or useless?
Review of Canon EW 60 C Lens hood Colour: Black by
Kingseany
Advantages: Protects lens, gets rid of stray light
Disadvantages: Vignetting can be an issue
...One wonders how much you can possibly say about a lens hood! In fact it's not as simple as it looks, and getting the wrong one will simply add to the amount of useless accessories in your camera bag.
Firstly, you'll find one useful if you own a SLR/Digital SLR, to go on the end of your lens. There are several types including rubber ones which fold up into themselves, flower shaped ones and straight ones like this Canon EW60C. This particular lens is marketed for the EF-s 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, the standard lens which comes with the EOS 300D. It will equally be suitable for some of the EF28-80mm and EF28-90 lenses.
Why will you find it useful, what does it do?
It serves various purposes. Most important is the function of eliminating stray light rays which can ruin otherwise great photo opportunities. You can acheive a similar effect...

Babies In Da Hood
Review of Hooded Baby Towels by
krazykat2005
Advantages: Keeps baby warm
Disadvantages: Get a bit small after a couple of months
...I have several hooded towels for my baby boy, Oliver. Some were gifts from family and friends and some were bought along with the weekly shop from Asda. This has given me a wide assortment of colours and types.
** A What? **
Alongside your bath time essentials of baby soap and shampoo and a hand cloth or baby sponge, you are going to need something to wrap baby in when they get out the bath. A normal towel will do, but when you have a tiny newborn you might find that normal towels are too big.
Also, the transition from the warm water of a bath to the cooler air of the bathroom or nursery can result in baby getting a bit chilly. A large proportion of body heat is lost through baby's head, so a hooded towel is an ideal solution to this problem.
They are usually square shaped, about 75cm by 75cm, and have a hood in one...

There is smeg on my hood
Review of Smeg KSEIV95X Cooker Hoods by
roy_l_t_1970
Advantages: Sucks up fumes
Disadvantages: Made by SMEG
...I can`t believe that I am actually sitting here writing an opinion on a cooker hood. What the Smeg can I possibly say that will make anyone out there want to buy a Smeg KSEIV95X cooker hood ? And who the hell would want to put anything in their kitchen with the word SMEG emblazoned across it. The modern homes exhibition will never be the same again. Beautiful fitted kitchens that contain more SMEG than a Thailand brothel. It is a hood, it is made by Smeg, it goes above the cooker and it sucks out all the unwanted fumes that make your nice clean home smell like a backstreet greasy spoon diner. And before anyone asks me, yes, I do get commission for the number of times I include the name SMEG in my op (I wish). lmao.
The KSEIV95X cooker hood from Smeg (god, I hate saying that word) is quite simply the Rolls Royce of cooker hoods...

Perfect match for Canon 400d SLR
Review of Tamron 17 - 50 / 2,8 XR DI II LD ASP Lens by
raymortim
Advantages: Image sharpness, constant f2.8 aperture, cost
Disadvantages: Some distortion at widest setting, motor noise
...BACKGROUND
I had been looking to replace the so-so kit lens on my Canon 400d and agonised over the possible options for several weeks. I wanted a lens to broadly replace the kit lens range of 18-55mm - with a good wide angle and some telephoto zoom, but not too much of a range so that optical quality would be compromised. Oh, and not too expensive please!
The Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 soon became a front runner from the scraps of user comments I found on the web. Hopefully my review below can fill in the gaps for other potential purchasers.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Range 17-50mm (on 400d: 27-80mm)
Aperture f2.8 to f32
Physical Length at 17mm - 9cm
Physical Length at 50mm - 12cm
No USM or Image Stabilisation
No macro mode
Zoom lock switch prevents barrel movement when stored
Filter diameter 67mm
Included items - Lens caps and hood...

Canon BJI 6500-This is one useful REVIEW!
Review of Canon BJ I6500 by
Saiyan
Advantages: Quality is outstanding!
Disadvantages: A3 paper may be taken in angled (1 in 10 chances - for me)
...) on the printer gets corrupted you may always use the other.
*Sheet feed capacity
The printer allows a user to put a maximum of 100 sheets at a time in its tray
This didn’t bother me to much as 50 sheets in the tray would be enough for me.
* A4 borderless printing
A4 Borderless printing is supported by the printer.
Basically A4 borderless printing is a job done by the printer to make the photograph look and feel like a more traditional photo.
*4X6 borderless printing
4X6 borderless printing is also supported by the printer.
It basically does the same effect as what is stated in the point above (A4 borderless printing) – Makes a photograph sized 4X6 look more traditional)
*Supported Ink Cartridges
The Canon BJI 6500 (aka Bubble Jet 6500) supports the following top class ink cartridges.
BCI-3e BK – Black...

Robin Hood has never sounded so good
Review of Adventures Of Robin Hood, The - Original Soundtrack by
newc0597
Advantages: Outstanding composition and scoring
Disadvantages: Bit rough around the edges in parts
...Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is a Warner Brothers film starring Kevin Costner as Robin of Locksley and Alan Rickman as an outstanding Sheriff of Nottingham. Also starring in the film are Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, but the show is stolen in the last few seconds by the arrival of Sean Connery as King Richard.
This is a review of the score, so I won't describe the plot here apart from to mention that it contains some rather silly moments. The music was composed by Michael Kamen, who sadly died at the age of only 55 in November 2003. His death was a great loss to the music commuity at large, Kamen having worked with a huge variety of musicians, including Queen, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Metallica and Sting as well as his more classical works. For those of you who are interested in that kind of thing...

Who can? Canon can
Review of Canon MV X3i by
Ollydv
Advantages: Quite Good quality, looks good
Disadvantages: More memory needed
...camcorder, with an impressive 3.5" colour LCD and colour viewfinder which makes composing and navigation of the menu extremely easy.
The camcorder comes in a nice box, with the following contents:
- The camcorder
- Lens cap and lens cap cord
- Lens hood
- Lithium battery
- Wireless controller
- 2 x R6/AA batteries
- Compact power adapter
- Batter pack
- Interface cable
- AC Cable
- SDC-8M SD Memory Card
- Memory card case
- Stereo video cable
- S-Video cable
- Scart adapter
- Digital video solution disks
- Instruction manuals
As you can see, you get a lot for your money. So people that say it is expensive, then I guess you could be right, but you do get a lot for what you are paying.
It has: a 2.2 mega pixel CCD, a 10x optical/200x digital zoom, an optical image stabilizer, RBG primary colour filter, 3.5" colour LCD...
