Get Fresh With 1001
Review of 1001 No Vac Carpet Freshener by
memphisto_chick
Advantages: It Does Work, Long Lasting
Disadvantages: Can't Quite Get Into Those Tough Smells
...It's fair to say that after being down 3 years and having Dexter dog, 3 cats, 2 humans and numerous visitors walking on them, our lounge carpet is beginning to look and smell a bit worn. Add to that mix, general spills and general dirt and you've got one carpet which is in need of general freshening up every so often. As I use 1001 carpet trouble shooter on a regular basis, I decided to try this 1001 No Vac Foam Carpet Freshener instead of our usual Shake n Vac. The fragrance I am reviewing is Summer Flowers.
I chose this because it promised you didn't have to vacuum up after using it, which is what you have to do with Shake n Vac. I don't always want to vacuum, so this promised to be the ideal solution for a lazy lady like me. I didn't buy for the packaging but if you are interested, the can is mostly yellow, with the 1001 logo...

1001 TO THE RESCUE AGAIN
Review of 1001 Troubleshooter stain remover by
Lynda04
Advantages: Does the job well, smells quite nice
Disadvantages: You have to buy it!
...1001 is a well known name in most households, synonymous with cleaning ability and stain removal. Well this 1001 Troubleshooter certainly lives up to it's name. It is a carpet and upholstery stain remover.
We have fairly light coloured carpets, not a wise choice really when you use a coal fire and have three grandchildren who always forget to remove their shoes after going outside in the mud!
Nevertheless we are stuck with our carpets as new ones are not very likely in the near future.
I used to try to clean the stains with a little mild detergent or even a solution of washing up liquid, always trying to be thrifty me, I hate buying a product if I think I can manage without :-)
Anyway, forgive my ramblings, I'll get to the point. Having got fed up with little dirty marks all over my carpet, I splashed out on a bottle...

1001 strikes again
Review of 1001 3 in 1 Auto Carpet Shampoo by
emma29879
Advantages: does what it says it does
Disadvantages: none that i have found
...I recently tried the 1001 stain remover spray and was so impressed (see my review of it) that i decided to try the carpet shampoo.
I have a vax carpet cleaner so it was compatible with this solution so i decided to have a stab and see if it improved my carpet any. I would like you to bear in mind i have beige carpet two children under two a dog and a mechanic husband so you can image what my carpets get like.
The solution was not expensive only a couple of pounds for a 500ml bottle. you need one cap of solution for every litre of water in your machine so a small bottle lasts quite a long time (depending how big your house is of course!!!!)
Solution made carpet cleaner ready and off i go on my downstairs carpets. I did my hallway and my living room and left the carpet to dry. this doesnt take long and when i went back to reasses...

1001 amazing Freebies from the net!
Review of 1001Freebies.co.uk by
d-jj-mccann
Advantages: Check out free stuff like money, prizes and more from all over the web.
Disadvantages: none, it's free to register and takes no time at all!!!
...1001Freebies has almost anything and everything that's free, the layout is simple and it couldn't be easier to navigate as everything you need click on is in a list on the left hand side. All you need to do is choose what to get free from a list. The list includes free: Money, Competitions, Gifts, Software and many more. The only catch is that 1 or 2 of the offers need a little bit of money invested into them.
I have only been a member for a day and already I would give it a 10/10. Registering only takes about a minute, as all you have to type in your name, gender, DOB, country, email address and then choose a password and you're off.
Also, everything here is available to UK residents. So you don't have to worry about getting to the bottom of a form, only to find out that it's only available to members of the USA. Better still...

The best mouse there is when it is working OK
Review of Logitech MX Revolution - mouse by
fatboyslim
Advantages: USEFUL FEATURES, BATTERY LIFE, SMOOTH PRECISE OPERATION
Disadvantages: FRICTIONLESS SCROLL WHEEL IS NOT VERY LONG LASTING
...UPDATE
~~~~~~~~
THE MOUSE'S FREESPIN FUNCTION STOPPED WORKING (BASICALLY THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SCROLL WHEEL, I.E. IT HAD LOST ITS FRICTIONLESS OPERATION).
I CONTACTED LOGITECH WHO FIRST ASKED ME TO RE-INSTALL THE SOFTWARE (THIS MADE NO DIFFERENCE) THEY THEN SENT ME OUT A BRAND NEW MOUSE, CHARGER, RECEIVER ETC. I HAVE GOT TO SAY THAT THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM LOGITECH WAS OUTSTANDING.
I JUST THOUGHT IT WOULD BE USEFUL FOR POTENTIAL BUYERS TO GET AN INSIGHT INTO LOGITECH'S CUSTOMER SERVICE, JUST IN CASE THEY EVER NEED TO USE IT.
ALSO THE NEW MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL FEELS DIFFERENT (BETTER, MORE ROBUST) TO THE FIRST MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL WHEN THIS ONE WAS NEW.
TO UPDATE FURTHER
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The replacement mouse I mentioned above has also developed the same fault in just 3 months...

This mouse is just PERFECT it cannot be beaten
Review of Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 - mouse by
Kevin_Pritchard
Advantages: No Mouse Ball! Extremely Accurate! Superior Comfort! Suprisingly Durable!
Disadvantages: Costly...To much as mice are concerned.
...The Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer is the heir to all past mice that have failed me. You know what happens: first, your basic mouse gets clogged up with junk and then starts to ignore commands from your finger when you push the button. When this started happening to me, I knew that I needed a new mouse; I needed a mouse that I knew wouldn't get dirty, on the inside, with mouse pad hairs and one that would actually click when I push a button. After going to CompUSA and seeing the sign saying "NO MOUSE PAD REQUIRED! THIS MOUSE DOES NOT USE A MOUSE BALL!" I knew the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer would be the right mouse for me.
Some New Features

Optical Sensor: Why should I want it?
Are you tired of cleaning your mouse after tons of gunk sticks itself to the tiny analog wheels causing your mouse to be inaccurate...

AN EXCELLENT OPTICAL MOUSE
Review of Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Black - mouse by
Jaxle
Advantages: Great response, no ball to get dirty, wheel is invaluable
Disadvantages: A bit on the pricey side
...The simple mouse. It has been around for ages, and yet remains the most popular way of interacting with desktop computers. As it is used so often, I wonder why people put up with using the cheap, tacky and uncomfortable mouse that maybe came with their PC. When I was getting fed up with using the ugly lump of plastic with a few buttons plonked on it, I thought it was time for something new.
Wow – after changing from one to the other, the difference is massive. When I now come to use the computers at school, or any other computers with “basic” mice, I really appreciate the difference that having a good mouse makes to your computing experience as a whole.
One of the major problems with old mice is the way in which they “pick up” the movement that the mouse makes across the mat. This is done with a ball that sits just inside the mouse...

Can You Really Teach An Old Mouse New Tricks?
Review of Labtec Optical Mouse mouse by
emilyo
Advantages: Cheap, responsive, sleek, Easy to set up
Disadvantages: Minimal instructions - though it was imple to do
...I bought my computer on a package deal from Tiny computer. I have generally been happy with the computer except for the web cam and mouse, which I have found to not work very well and be unreliable. I found it hard to navigate around the screen with the mouse, as the ball became very unresponsive despite being cleaned on a regular basis. So I decided to buy a new mouse and thought I would try one without a ball and see what everyone has been raving on about.
So What Is An Optical Mouse?
*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
An Optical Mouse runs on a sensor that rests inside the body of the mouse, rather than the classic roller / ball set up we all know and love. The sensor tracks movement of the mouse and translates that movement into signals that the computer understands. Basically the mose take 1500 pictures every second to trace...

Three Blind Mouse - Naff Title I Know!
Review of Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse mouse by
thespurs
Advantages: Uses optical technology that makes the whole mouse experience much easier and far more efficient - The mouse also lasts longer and is more durable
Disadvantages: There aren't any as yet
...*Introduction*
I recently had to purchase this new mouse from Staples, after I lost the roller ball from my other mouse. It was a rather strange series of events that led to this and isn't something that you could make up. I was fiddling about with the mouse because it would work properly and I removed the cover from over the ball and it then dropped out. It rolled along my desk, off the side and into a large recess in my wall. It then fell to the bottom and there is no way of retrieving it. I was pretty annoyed with myself, but I have been needing to purchase a new mouse for some time now.
The mouse, along with a keyboard, is the way in which humans operate computers. It is the manual input that we put into the computer in order that it undertakes certain actions that we require it do. It is essential tool in getting...

Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse
Review of Apple Mighty Mouse Wireless - mouse by
HellSoul
Advantages: Almost brilliant design, looks great.
Disadvantages: Expensive, limited programming for buttons.
...(This review is written having tested the hardware on Mac OS X Leopard and Windows Vista)
This year, I purchased my first Apple computer. Deciding to go for the iMac, an all-in-one desktop computer.
From their website, Apple include either the wired or wireless Mighty Mouse with the purchase, the Wireless option being a £13.99 upgrade option, but no option to get the computer without the mouse.
Because I have so many computer mice lying around, I was torn between selling the default (wired) Mighty Mouse when the computer arrived, or upgrading to the Wireless option and keeping it, I have far too many cables for electronics to want to add more wires, so I decided I would purchase all of the wireless options with the iMac, but paying extra money for something I didn't particularly need was a nuisance.
In the end, I decided...
