Magic, murder, mystery and, of course, love in the roaring 20s

Advantages: A ticket to travel back in time. Entertaining and delightful
Disadvantages: You are not actually in the 20s

...As I bought this book for a friend called Charles Carter I had not planned on reading it let alone enjoying it so much. You enter an intriguing world of mystery in which the enigmatic protagonist runs rings around the audience, of which the reader is certainly a member. Carter's world is exceptionally realised and the attention to detail of the period characters makes for an enlightening and satisfying read. Carter is a wonderful character whose physical and moral strength sees one routing for him as he battles the powers that be. Classic moments include his getting the better of his arch nemesis and the pure thrill of a brand new motorbike capable of 100 mph not to mention an incredible final scene in which Carter reigns supreme. You will not be disappointed by this book - a great one to read on holiday for pure escapism....

great arcade classic!

Advantages: great fun.
Disadvantages: everything is always in the same place

...this is one of those game brought from the arcade(like incoming), but this is actually really fun, zooming around a city picking up people and racing to the right location at 100mph is alot more fun than it looks, although it does get boring because the people are always in the same place and there is only 2 different citys, one in arcade mode and one in original mode. they could of made this alot better than it is, even if it is really adictive. The best thing they could of improved would be the placing of the people, they should of been in different places rondomly selected by the computer. this is a great arcade game, but be warned, it does get boring....

My first bike

Advantages: Fast, reliable, economical, good looks
Disadvantages: you get wet when it rains :-)

...Bought this bike a month ago and i`m very impressed with it. Been running it in but couldn`t resist giving it a squeeze- and it flies!! Don`t have much to compare it to being my first bike but this is what i know- Gets 150 miles out of a tank that makes it about 50mpg. Handles really well. Taking corners faster than i do in my car already- this is the confidence it inspires in me. Don`t even feel i`m pushing it yet. Looks great. I got the blue one and it is always turning heads. A bit different from the sports bikes and better than a commuter. Very comfortable riding position. I`m 5'8" and it is the perfect size. Easy to get the head down when you need to. Wind isn`t that bad anyway even at 100mph. Hard to say what the 0-60 is but i kept up with my friend`s Nissan Skyline, so it can`t be...

...do toadstools grow close together? Because they don't need mushroom. 13. Whats green and read and goes 100mph an hour? A frog in a blender. 14. What did the blonde say to the doctor, when she found out that she was pregnant? Is it mine. Some of these are rude and I dont agree with any of them. I am sorry if I case any offense to anyone over these jokes, its not my intention....

Good although I would prefer more realism

...This is a great game with real door-to-door action. Fun doesn't get much better than screaming round a corner at 100mph with Plato and Muller rubbing your doors and exchanging paint. The stakes are high as you bid to win the TOCA championship. The graphics are excellent as is the gameplay. With this game you have the added bonus that you are not limited to Touring Cars. You can race Formula Fords and Ford Fiestas and a few more which adds to the life of the game. A great game with many features. The sound is fantastic and at only £15 it is well worth the money. It is a great improvement on TOCA 1 and is immense fun with go-almost-anyway capability i.e: round other closed off sections of the track i.e: Brands Hatch where the Indy Circuit is used but you have the capability of driving round the longer circuit - just for a bit...

...With the likes of Davenport, Serena and Venus Williams women?s tennis could be heading towards a completely new era of playing powerful shots, these women will give some men tennis players a good match, they can as hit the ball so hard the opponent hardly sees the ball yet alone play it. The serve is already over 100mph and these players could dominate the future of grass tennis. Venus Williams showed this today against Martina Hingis. These girls have a real future in the women?s game and could now be the players everyone dreads playing. They should be proud of themselves....

Bike for Shorties

...I bought a Suzuki Savage two years ago and it's the best thing I ever did! Being short (5ft) and a girlie, I found it difficult to find a bike that would fit me. My Savage is a "C" reg. and it's very reliable. It's light and I can place both feet firmly on the ground. It's fast enough, I've got it up to 100 mph, although at that speed one does feel like one's head is going to come away! She cruises happily at between 70 mph and 80 mph. She's a good bike for short people who have just passed their test (she's under the 33bhp limit) and posers as well. The only problem that I have found with her, is wet weather riding - if the rain is heavy (and I mean torrential) she has a habit of cutting out when coming to a standstill and won't start again until she's dried out....
