Rangemaster toledo 110 cooker

Advantages: Looks really smart and efficient
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind

...We bought a rangemaster toledo 110 cooker for our new kitchen earlier this year. We decided on the colour of silver rather than stainless steal as this is easier to clean and wipe. The double oven is brilliant and practical. One is fan assisted so is really fast the other is just conventional. They are both large and can easily cook Christmas dinner for a family of 14. Both have large windows on the doors which is brilliant for checking on foods. Built in oven lights too. It also has a separate built in grill. If you need to grill something small you just switch on half the grill - how cool is that? The built in hob on top is lovely. We have electric so naturally have a ceramic hob. This too is easy to clean. There are 6 halogen rings. Two of which you can half on or full on. Beware of scratches though on the g;ass hob. All in all...

Dual fuel Rangemaster cooker - for great cooks

Advantages: Looks good, cooks well economical in gas use
Disadvantages: none that we haqve found

...driveway ready for our new cooker in our new kitchen , somehow the regulations had changed in between the driveway being laid and the installation of the cooker. The new regulation connectors did not fit on our 3 month old pipe. After a lot of chasing around we did find a gas fitter who managed to connect it all up ( using the old type of connector - but we didn't care as if we had done it two months earlier it would have been that connector anyway). What it looks like: The Rangemaster has a gas hob and electric ovens. We have four gas burners on the left ranging in size and heat output. There is also a big wok burner in the middle which is quite ferocious when you light it - almost took my eyebrows and fringe off the first time. It also comes with a wok stand to hold the wok above the flame which I just keep on the cooker all the time...

Britannia Dynasty 110 range cooker. Smaller than it looks.

Advantages: Chef top, 6 further gas burners. Looks great. Multi-function oven.
Disadvantages: Very small interior to main oven, very difficult to clean hob and oven floor. Expensive.

...I really had to beg my husband to buy this cooker - much more expensive at over £4000 than we had intended - because I especially wanted the chef top plus six more gas burners, the two electric ovens, the instantaneous gas hob, the multi-function main oven, and smaller oven - because we have a large family and often do a lot of cooking. Now that we have it, we are really disappointed. The chef top works well - and it's great to have so many rings for pans, but everything on the gas hob is a nightmare to clean - none of the products in the Britannia cleaning kit (expensive) seems to actually bring cooking carbon off the chrome rings or the brass burners - best product I have found is Astonish. Also it is really difficult to simmer anything - even on the lowest setting, food burns in the pans, except perhaps the very small rings...

I picked a Leicester company called 365electrical (www.365electrical.com). 365electrical seem to offer pretty much full range of kitchen appliances from big dueal fuel vens to microwaves, bread makers and even taps and sinks. ...Ok ok, so perhaps Beko is a name that doesn't trip off the tongue when talking about replacement cookers. However, I've had my cute little electric 212 for over a year now and have to say that I'm completely satisfied with it. Its of a very basic hob design with twin cavities (grill & Oven) with the usual four hot plates offering power outputs of between 1kw & 2kw, while the reasonably sized oven has a maximum power of 2100 watts. Its relatively light at 57kg, so its easy to slide between kitchen units for cleaning etc. It can come in a number of colours from typical white, to green or blue. A Great Electric Cooker

Advantages: Cheap, Efficient and Reliable
Disadvantages: I wasn't impressed by the hob

...I recently purchased the Beko D533W from 365electrical.com and I have to say after using it for a month so far, I am very happy with my purchase. The Beko D533W is a Electric Cooker, It has a single oven with a seperate grill and a standard solid 4 plate hob on top. It comes in the colour white, Which I guess is what the W stands for at the end of D533. The Oven is a 53 Litre Fan Oven and I was impressed by how quickly the oven heats up to your required temperature, It is literally a few minutes and compared to my old oven which took about 15-20 minutes to heat up, You can imagine how delighted I am with the increase in speed. The Grill is also very good and has variable heat settings also, Which is great for cooking your sausages to perfection. Now the Hob , I was a little disappointed by how it looks, it looks a bit cheap...

Morphy Richards Rice cooker - Too clever for me!

Our range cooker

Advantages: large , easy to use
Disadvantages: fan oven is very low down . clock has no memory during power cuts

...A nice looking oven at a good price, ours is the dual fuel version running the hob from a gas bottle outside the house. It has a fan oven,a normal oven, a grill and a warming drawer. The hob has some nice heavy cast iron pan racks these look really good and support the pans nicely. Also included are a griddle plate which sits over two burners and a wok support to sit over the front middle burner( the hottest one). both of these have been used and are a worthwhile addition. We mainly use the fan oven, this works well and is easy to clean, Its a shame the fan oven is the lowest oven, as the conventional oven that we rarely use is higher from the ground and much more convenient to use. The grill works well but is no bigger than a grill on a standard oven. In fact no individual area of the range is bigger than a standard 500mm oven...

Advantages: Double Oven, easy clean, very easy to use, good functionality
Disadvantages: Touch controls are quite sensitive, fault codes are not obvious

...Disaster - 2 weeks before Chrismas my cooker blew up and with all the family coming to visit I had to buy and get one installed really quick. I popped into John Lewis (never knowingly undersold) and instantly fell for this cooker. My main selection criteria was, it had to be electric, 2 ovens, good branding, 5 year warranty, look good and be delivered for Christmas. It ticked all the boxes and I went ahead with the purchase. The goods arrived - very well packaged, complete with installation manual and user guide. A qualified electrician (my neighbour) was able to install this in about 45 mins, a simple case of moving out the old cooker and disconnecting, then reconnecting to the new one - this involved removing the back panel and reconnecting a few wires. The cooker then pushed straight back into place., and looked great...
