...I bought my Epiphone 12 string guitar after having a brief affair with the 6 string version. This affair was tragically brought to an end when my beautiful 6 stringed lover had her neck broken in a car crash. The tone of an Epiphone guitar is very rich - I don't know why, but it is. It could be that Epiphone are part of Gibson who are renowned for great guitars, but I can tell you that Epiphone were just as good before the association with Gibson. Being essentially a singer rather than a guitarist, I find that the 12 string version of this guitar adds greater depth to the sound of the chords I play as I sing. If you've never played a 12 string before, don't worry - they are just as easy to play as a 6 string. In fact the chords are the same. ...If you've read many of my op's you've probably figured out I'm a musical type of person, but not the type that jingles whilst walking. For years I have enjoyed playing rhythm guitar both privately and on the road but never more so than on my Yamaha 12 String. It's a lovely full size instrument that creates amazing volume even without an amp, and by far outdoes all the other acoustics I have had or used in the past, and I have had some nice ones. The overall design is pretty standard at first glance, but if you look a little closer, or better yet actually try one you can appreciate the really low fretting that gives a very smooth action, and in the case of my one having dreadnought fretting it's even smoother. Advantages: Good price for sound, playability and workmanship.

...The wife and I decided it was time to replace our old £25 nylon strung guitar. We both wanted a 12 string guitar but on a budget. We trecked to the music shop and tried a couple in our price range (cheap!), we then tried the Seagull for camparison and fell in love. Not being able to afford the £369 price tag, we began to feel dejected, then up popped the salesman with all the info on interest- free-credit, we left with the Seagull and a Yamaha 6 string. This Canadian made guitar is constructed of solid wood - cedar for the body and hard woods for the neck and fretboard. The workmanship is outstanding, a lot of care has been put into this guitar and the action is very low making it easy to play (no forearms like popeye's needed here). The sound quality for the price range (the high end of the budget guitars) has to be heard... Read review

...The Ovation Country Artist classical guitar is what one would expect from and American made Ovation. It is equally at home on the stage or in the studio. The acoustic sound is unbalanced, as the wound strings over power the nylon/gut strings, but plug it in and this guitar shines. Each string has an idividual peizo transducer which is coupled with a pre-amp that has a four band EQ and a notch filter to elimenate feed-back during live performances. In the studio, the signal has no noticable noise to muddy up a recording. This guitar is well made. The seka spruce top has a flawless clear finish; the head stock has side mounted ornate slot tuners which are beatiful to look at and a pleasure to use; the neck is wide and thin and very easy to finger with ample room between strings; fret work is imaculate; the intonation of the ebony... ...-ups it is each separate element which is picking up each individual string, increasing the sound quality. Also the preamp giving the guitar the arena sound capability. Advanced neck system, (a metal rod inside the neck that is adjustable), is dual-action meaning it has more of a precision adjustment. Aligning the neck to your preference. ...Falcon Blue Acoustic Guitar My mom says I've got enough guitars now; I have two acoustics and one electric. I know most of your guitarists out there say that's nothing, but I can see where she's coming from, we have totally no room. This guitar was my third guitar. I got my electric for my birthday last year and brought my second one quite cheap at a boot sale, lets just say it wasn't the best guitar in the world, so when I started to earn some money again I decided I needed a steel string acoustic guitar. I walked into the shop and the prices were well into the hundreds, but this falcon guitar was the last one in stock and I managed to get it for under £70. The satin finish gives an indication of the smooth sounds that resonate from this instrument, but is prone to damage from knocks. Being a solid top, you need to ensure that you don't expose it to much heat or humidity. ...I bought this tuner as I was a beginner to bass guitar, and knew that there was no way Id be able to tune the guitar by ear. It cost me about £12 from an online store, but you may be able to find it cheaper. I chose this tuner over others becasue it was a name I had heard of and trusted. Build: The tuner looks quite fancy and is slim enough to fit in your pocket. Sure, there are some fancier metal-cased tuners out there, but they are more expensive. It is powered by two AAA batteries (which are included, always a plus!). Features: This tuner is designed for Electric, Electric Bass and Acoustic Guitars. There are four main modes for using the tuner: Auto, Manual, Sound.
