Transformers - Spectacular!

Advantages: Fast-paced, action-packed, great fun to watch.
Disadvantages: none

...and whatever other piece of machinery they fancy - and yes, once again, the entire concept sounds somewhat childish and takes us back to earlier days when we all, at some point or another, used to play with Transformers - but hey, those were the good days, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being 12 again! I don't know how the writers and the director managed it, but the robots are so incredibly realistic, so extraordinarily likeable and funny, that they simply take over the movie and seem to be more 'alive' than many of the human characters. I have to admit that, although I have outgrown the toy Transformers, I wouldn't mind owning a Bumblebee or an Optimus Prime of my own! Sounds childish? Very... but hey, who cares... I loved this movie, loved the robots, the action, the incredible visual effects, and wouldn't pass up the chance to...

Transformers movie

Advantages: thrilling, pleasing fun, easy viewing, good story, all the family
Disadvantages: nothing realy, unless you look extremely hard, then you may miss the mistakes

...Wow what can you say; this is a brilliant movie, and this coming from a fervent follower of the transformers. At 31 years of age I am the prime age (pardon the pun) to enjoy this comeback for the autobots and the decepticons. This film has been produced in a manor fitting the huge following the transformers have. I have spent the last year buying generation 1 toys I never had as a youngster. Back to the film though, the fact Optimus prime is a bull nosed truck was easier to take then expected, you also think how can they have made the film with the original cars and trucks when they would be 20 years out of date. This taken they do look magnificent, the story line lends itself well to the history of the transformers and not going of on a tangent makes for good viewing. Transformers review

Advantages: Entertaining
Disadvantages: Not much in the way of story

...Transformers is a big-budget blockbuster about two extraterrestrial factions, the heroic and selfless Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Teenager Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) unwittingly gets involved in their war as the transformers come to earth in search of the Allspark, each with different intentions for it. A lot of people will be put off by Michael Bay being the director, he is not known for his intelligent, thought provoking films, quite the opposite in fact, some may even say his films are all flash and no substance. And Ok, he's no Kubrick but he does what he does better than anyone. He can do action very well, and this is why he was a good choice for this film. Even Pearl Harbour had fantastic action scenes, I wish they could do a 'Michael Bay' cut of Pearl Harbour in which there would be about 40mins of action and that's it...

Transform A Snack

Advantages: A decent crisp...
Disadvantages: ...Kind of

...Another culinary delight for you here (and it is a delight!), that is the world-renowned Transform-A-Snack...well, renowned in parts of the UK I guess... One walking around a local Tesco Metro yesterday lunchtime I came across these bad boys right next to the Space Raiders...of course, the first dilemma was which one of these to choose. Both were 25p, 28 gram bags and undoubtedly awful compared to some of the other crisps on offer, but easily the cheapest! I've risked it all though and gone for the "TAS." They come in a 'spicy' flavour, which fear not, just tastes like tomato rather than some outlandish spiced products from the sub-continent...oh wait, we're talking about budget crisps here... Most people will remember these from their youth, the same with Space Raiders, but the packaging has improved slightly from what I remember...

Transformers For Tots !!!

Advantages: A brilliant "child friendly" version of a classic favourite retro toy !!!
Disadvantages: Hasbro seems to have forgotten about Megatron (???)

...!!! ~~~ PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ~~~ As I said at the start of this review this product does have a 3+ rating clearly printed on the package but I am more than happy with the safety aspect of this toy if given to an active toddler who may be a little younger than three. To be totally honest, we have actually taken toys off my own son in the past which claim to be suitable for 12 months plus simply because as parents we felt that they were dangerous ... so please be assured that I am writing this review fully aware of the importance of child safety. Advantages: A feast for the eyes that's brainless fun.
Disadvantages: Lots of plot holes and shaky characterisation.

Bare Escentuals Bareminerals 1.2 Fairly Light.

Advantages: A Flawless Look

...Having tried many other foundations, I found this an excellent product. It's a powder foundation that glides over the face with ease without making you look over done. I am really fair, with very pale skin and most other foundations I've tried are way too dark, but this is fantastic if you have fair skin like me. It gives an even coverage and makes your skin look radiant. My top tip on how to get the best from this product is, to pour a little powder in to the lid and swirl your foundation brush round the lid, the brush picks most of the product up. Then tap the brush on the lid to remove any excess power, then apply!! It really is that easy. This product is so light you wont even know you have any make up on. It lets your skin breath and gives you a flawless look, unlike other foundations that can make you look as though you've caked...

Transforming modern cinema

...Transformers was released in the cinema's of my home town over a year ago now. I can remmember feeling very satisfied after leaving the cinema, so... a week or two later we made our second trip to see that very same movie! I was half expecting Transformers to join the rather large collection of 'cheasy' holywood movies which always recieved great reviews, but nearly always disappointed me. This one simply didn't - I came out the cinema feeling overwhelmed. I can even remmember saying, This is the best film since 'Lord of the Rings' - I mean its such a mighty achievment from Michael Bay (the Director), to have me... A nobody with little understanding of modern-day movies... to give away that comment so lightly. This was the area that impressed me most. These giant, robotic creatures were real! Advantages: Amazing graphics/gameplay

...this game could have easily got up into the 4 & 5 star teritory. Its still a good game if you have the money to blow. It\'s not really worth renting the game as you wont see what I mean. The first couple of missions leave you speachless simply because of the morphing and gameplay but after that you wont be playing it for long. I guess it just depends on how much you enjoy the film at the end of the day as the game follows along almost the exact same line as the film. It also definately brings back some childhood memories of playing with transformers in my youth as well. It was worth buying the game just for that for me....
