FreeAgent Go 120 GB
Review of FreeAgent Go 120 GB by
Jammie1000000
Advantages: Very fast, quiet and sleek design
Disadvantages: Could have a bigger capacity
...This external hard drive is perfect for anyone that owns a laptop, although it can also be connected to a PC.
Looks
The looks of this hard drive is minimalistic yet looks modern and sleek with an orange light on the front that glows when in operation. The size of the hard drive is very small, hence being perfect for laptop users as it can easily fit into a laptop bag. The hard drive also makes no sound what-so-ever.
Using the Hard Drive
It is a very easy component to use. All that you need to do is plug it in to your laptop of PC through the USB connector. The USB connector has a data+power cable and a secondary power cable for USB ports that cant supply enough power through the single port. This hard drive only has 120 gb worth of space but it is possible to get upto 160gb if 120gb is too small. Also...

Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Hard Drive Hard drive 120 GB by
jammyd0
Advantages: Lots of space for all your gaming needs.
Disadvantages: Price, Dust, Missing GB
...My personal experience with the Xbox 360 hard drive has been fairly positive. The ability to store music, films, videos and of course games saves is one that no Xbox gamer should be without. 120 GB of memory is more than enough for the average gamer. The hard drive is well designed to blend with the console perfectly. It is small and easy to store.
However the price is pretty heavy compared to the cheaper 20GB versions. A problem with the memory is the fact that the hard drive does not actually have 120GB, obviously it wouldn't be exactly due to the need for the running files but several GB are actually missing. Regular cleaning is advised as dust tends to collect on the hard drive but a sharp blow into the docking port is sufficient to clear this.
All in all this product is an incredibly useful addition to any Xbox 360 gamers...

Seagate External Hard Drive 120GB
Review of Seagate Hard drive 120 GB by
lilyellowfish
Advantages: Great invention, reasonable price, large capacity
Disadvantages: Bulky, noisy
...is approx. 3.5 inches in height, 10 inches across and 3.5 inches deep. When it is running it is also has quite a loud buzzing noise, which can be quite tedious.
The hard drive has 120GB and can store approx. 2,000 hours of digital music, 38,400 digital photos, 120 hours of digital video or 60 PC games. You are able to store digtal photos, videos, music, DVD's, Business Documents and Emails on the hard drive.
The hard drive has a 7200-RPM spin speed and a 2-MB cache buffer, BounceBack Express software for fast and easy back up, built-in self-monitoring technology and is also compatible with Windows and Macintosh platforms.
I have found this hard drive really useful, no longer does my laptop get filled up, it also runs faster. I am able to store all large documents/music/games on the external hard drive which prevents the slow...

More than Just a Large Disc.
Review of Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB by
Meshek
Advantages: Quiet, Fast, Cheap
Disadvantages: Not as fast as some, Do you really need so much space
....) As mentioned above this hard disk can withstand an astonishing 350g's of non - operating shock which is amazing considering gravity is only 1g. Another good point about this hard disk is its large buffer of 8mb which ensures steady file transfers even if the disk is searching through a slow portion of the disk and hence allows very high peak and sustained transition rates. (Discs tend to be slower towards the centre) The final aspect which makes me like this hard disk is the price which is very cheap at 48p per gigabyte. This is very cheap although not the cheapest (currently this is 160 GB hard disks at about 40p per gigabyte) however normal users are unlikely to fill up 120GB let alone more unless they download a lot or do video editing. (For the record I have 320 GB on my computer all filled!!!). Also with regards to price I would not recommend...

Seagate do it again
Review of Seagate Barracuda ATA V 120 GB by
poozle
Advantages: Reliable, Good Value for money, quiet, 5 year warrenty.
Disadvantages: Heat
...to install Windows XP is to boot using the CD and then go to the installation and create a full size partition (not exactly 120gb due to differing calculations and certain other files such as the index file (VERY important))and format the drive. The drivetools that are provided with retail versions of the drive and available to download can also be used set up the partitions and format the drive, although I have never used these.
All in all this drive is great, I couldn't specify any performance as I have never done any benchmarks and have never tried testing the performance, although it does seem quite fast.
**Added Information** This drive produces a lot of heat (I had to have a drive outside my system for a while for testing (I couldn't be bothered to mount it) and it was quite hot by the end of it).
The dimensions are:
Width 10.2 cm...

Quite a stunner!
Review of Samsung SpinPoint P80 SP1213N 120 GB by
chris_ah1
Advantages: Quiet, cheap, seems reliable+long warranty, performance is good
Disadvantages: Quality not proven, not the best performance though
...and power cable. It will physically be obvious which way they both go in.
g) Close up the PC and start it up and install OS. You do not have to worry about additional drivers for your system since this drive is less than 120GB - so the provided 48-bit LBA support is useless, unless you get the better 160GB version ;-)
h) If you are feeling industrious, plug in your old HD into another ATA port and you can copy directly your old files - although you will have to redo OS and application installation.
That's it. This drive is as easy to install as any other drive on the market.
~~~~~~~~~~Roundup~~~~~~~~~~
The reason why I got to play around with this drive is because I am currently fixing a machine that is using this as its main system drive. I had never considered a Samsung drive really in the past and Samsung's reputation is really...
